Personal History Date of birth December 7 2365

Born December 7 2365 to James and Ginny Walker. James Walker was a local Psychiatrist and his wife a CEO of fashion company in southern of Paris. All troughout her youth Alyssa was a pop girl. With a lot of help from her mother. Her mother made sure she wore the latest fashion, took her to pageants and other beauty contests and got her in to the best schools.

But after her 15 th birthday, her life came to a change. Her glamorous life, given to her mostly by her mother, blinded her from much else. Despite all that, she did get good grades, but none of that mattered to either her or her mother. She hung out with mostly people with class and style.

Until one day. Or rather one evening. It was after her 15th birthday party, most of the guests had left, when her butler told her she was needed outside. She walked on to the terrace to find a young man about the same age as her, maybe older, standing there. He didn't look at her straight in the eye, but asked her if she knew who he was. She looked to him. His eyes had a silvery glow, and she knew at that moment he wasn't quite human, but what he was, she couldn't tell, but somehow his face was familiar. With a little tremble in his voice he said his name. Denil. He went to the same school as her, that was for sure. He walked to her still not looking at her, He pulled up his hand and moved it around as if his hand was looking for something instead of his eyes. And then she realized that he was blind. Eventually he touched her shoulder. And what he said after that pierced through her heart and she could never forget them. “I am blind, but you can't see, Alyssa. I love you, for so long now, but you ignored me, never once looked at me, or reacted when I spoken to you.” Again he repeated. “I am blind, but you couldn't see, and now you will.”

He scared her a bit and she called security, but before they got there he had pulled out a knife and trusted it hard in his stomach. His strange silvery eyes started to glow and Alyssa was frozen. The flashing silvery lights from his eyes caught up with hers and she was blinded for a second. When her visual returned her guards came, but the young man was gone. Only his knife still lay on the ground. Alyssa didn't say a thing, not even when they asked her what happened. She just picked up the knife and just cried. She still didn't know what had happened or what he had done to her. Just his name and the words he had said to her.

Her mother had plans for her future, but she no longer wanted to walk the path her mother laid out for her. She wanted to go her own path. And she wanted to go on explorations, do something for people. She was no longer the pop girl. She noticed everything and everyone. And what else was new, whenever she looked in someone eyes, she could feel and see things. It wasn't something she used intentionally, but rather sub consciously.

The knowledge she could do something good with her life felt good. And she picked up her grades and made it to med school 2380. She was interested in following in becoming a psychiatrist like her father. But she also desired to leave Earth and go on exploration. In 2382 she made an application with Starfleet academy. But only 4 years later, after 4 years of med school was she accepted to the academy in 2386. She graduated in 2390 alongside her psychiatry studies and starfleet medical. And was assigned to the USS Pegasus first as Medical officer, but later as a psychiatric counselor. After 2 years she was reassigned back to Starfleet command awaiting for a new assignment.

She was reassigned to the USS Endeavour where she served a year. She heard of a deep space exploration mission and they were looking for medical officers for the USS Columbus. She requested a reassignment and awaited her application on Earth. When she finally was accepted, she had no idea what was about to happen. By the end of 2393, USS Columbus was caught in a heavy battle with an unknown enemy. The ship was heavily damaged and the captain had ordered the evacuation of the crew. Alyssa had found the Chief Medical officer dead, and she was caught of from the rest of the ship. She was unable to determine what happened but she reckoned in her report the ship had multiple hull breaches and lots of areas were sealed off due to decompression. The last order was to evacuate, so she took the lead over the medical team and took the heavily wounded and managed to get them in a runabout, while the others went off to escape pods. With the help of an injured operations officer they managed to open the bay door and leave the ship. Finally outside the ship she could see the extensive damage. She knew a lot of people were still strapped on the ship, and by the counts of the escape pods, not very many made it off the ship in time. The systems were already failing one by one when she was executing the evacuation orders, so she knew the seals wouldn't hold that long either.

But once of the Columbus, they weren't safe yet. It took them a long journey, in which she wasn't even sure the others survived, to starbase 900. She wasn't even sure of what she would find at the starbase or if it was even there. She and a nurse tended for the wounded, and the runabout was piloted by the injured operations officer. When they made it to the base, they found it heavily damaged. But there were friendlies, survivors. Which meant hope.

After her debrief at the starbase it was clear there was no trace of the enemy that suddenly attacked the Columbus. Investigation of the crash site turned up not that much, aside that their weapons were more advanced then they have encountered so far. And it was unsure where they came from or if the Federation was facing a new more powerful enemy.

After her recovery and an extended leave of absence she returned back to duty.
