| General Overview | Karen Walker is an extremely competent and capable officer. She comes to the Shanghai with an unblemished record and glowing endorsements by former CMOs and Commanding Officers. This officer does, however, exhibit a penchant for partying at times, however, and while this has not caused any problems with her assignments, it IS something that could bear watching. Karen's accent, a mixture of southern and Cajun, is normally slight but becomes more pronounced when she is excited or angry. |

| Personal History | Born 2369 in New Orleans, Louisiana, North America, she was the second daughter of Edward and Marion Walker, a minister and teacher respectively. From an early age, Karen showed an aptitude for things mechanical. At the age of 8, she dis-assembled and re-assembled her bicycle with no problems. When the other girls of her age were playing dolls and such, Karen could most likely be found tinkering with something mechanical. Her mother's wish was for her to become a teacher as she and older sister Carolyn were, but in 2387 she decided to apply to Starfleet Academy and was accepted for the class of 2391. She graduated in 2391 as valedictorian of her class, standing 1st in a class of 385 and was on her way as a budding Starfleet officer |
