| Personal History | Samuel Ray Devon was born in 2359 on Betazed, the second child of a Betazoid/Human father and Betazoid mother. He attended school on Betazed until 2377 when he applied and was accepted to Starfleet Academy. He graduated from the academy in the class of 2381 where he placed 45th out of 480. Upon graduation, he immediately applied for Starfleet flight training. It was determined that he had missed the application date for the next class, so thinking that he might become an engineer, for one year (2382) he was assigned to Starbase 74 as an engineering apprentice. However, his thoughts were set on flying so in 2383 he applied for flight training and was accepted. He graduated flight training in 2385, standing 17th in a class of 184. While assigned to Starbase 74 he met a young medical intern there named Violet Lykaios and, after dating a while, they became romantically involved. But after returning to the Academy for flight training, he lost touch with her. |
