| Personal History | Charlena 'Charlie' Dilucca was born the oldest daughter to Major Kenneth Dilucca and Lieutenant Commander Miranda Jones. 5 years later her sister was born. Being the daughter of a marine and a starfleet officer wasn't easy on Charlena. Her father demanded strict order in his family. Both she and her sister found it difficult to grow up with their father. She later found out her mother had a hard time with her husband herself. She accepted a lot of assignments away from her family. One time she even took Charlena and Ariana. Charlena was 12 years old and she caught her mother with a fellow officer. She didn't talk to her mother for days. A few months later she and her sister were brought to the station her father was stationed with his platoon. Worst day of Charlena's life. Her parents split that day, and her mother left her and her sister behind. Her father couldn't handle the divorce, and he started drinking. When he was home, he took it out on his daughters. Her father was discharged from the marines when he assaulted a superior officer. He returned back to earth with his daughters. Also the relationship between Charlena and Ariana deteriorated. When Charlena was 14 she had a huge fight with her sister. In her anger she hit her sister with a frying pan over the head. What she didn't know, was that her sister had a birth defect in her brain. The blow to her brain caused a reaction. Days later her sister was taken in to the hospital. But it was already too later for her sister. Charlena was sitting next to her sister's bed. She felt sorry for what had happened, but Ariana forgave her, as she at least was with her. Their father was in a bar somewhere drinking his own sorrow away again. And their mother was somewhere having fun with her fellow starfleet officers. Charlena watched her sister die. That same day, she dragged her father out of the bar and reminded him he had two daughters and one of them died that day. She also called her mother, but she seemed distressed about something. And then she found out her mother was heart broken because she was fooled by this officers. Sweet talking to her, but in the end just left her. Her mother didn't dare to come home. Charlena was grief stricken and angry at the same time. She didn't recognize her own parents, and all because of one silver tongued devil. Unable to persuade her mother to return. She went back to pick up what was left of her father. Together they buried her sister. She worked hard to get her father back. When that didn't work, she turned to the marines when she was 17. She buried herself in to training and put up walls to prevent people from getting to close. She did try to go to social events when she was invited by her squad. She even got herself swept away once. She really believed it was going to work out. But she was disappointed deeply and decided from that moment on, she wasn't going to get herself head over heels again. When she was 21 years old she left boot camp and was assigned in a squad on a marine station. Because of her punctuality and order, she was promoted to squad leader. Not long ago she was promoted to Marine Captain and transferred to the USS Juno as marine commanding officer. |
