| Personal History | Dan was born on Vulcan, where his interest for cooking developed very early in his life. He started off with various Vulcan meals and experimented with those. As a Vulcan he was trained to control his emotions. And the typical Vulcan behavior, he displayed when he was younger. When he got older and decided to further his ambitions to become a cook and moved to Earth where he learned become a chef. During his studies he worked for several restaurants on Earth and learned many recipes. He also learned other non human recipes during his time on Earth. Despite his parent wishes he decided to concentrate on being more human and showing more emotions. During his time on Earth he trained himself to show these and having more control over them. Dan is known for his warm smiles and his open showing of his passion for his work. At the age of 32, he had his first pon farr and he married his wife T'San. She was a doctor in star fleet. They lived a while on Earth. T'San worked for an Earth hospital and Dan opened a restaurant with a good friend of him. During his time he found that a lot of people liked to talk to him while in his restaurant. So he took a psycho therapy course and training. With his wife T'San he had 3 sons and one daughter. When their daughter was 6 years old, T'San and Dan opted to return to Starfleet. T'San was reassigned as medical officer and had some small assignments, while Dan was hired to be a cook at Starfleet command. He served at both the academy lounge and the command lounge. When the admirals got wind of the cooking of Dan, he was reassigned to the admiral's lounge. When T'San was asked to serve on the USS Juno as chief medical officer for their 10 years journey, Dan wanted to join her and he was asked to serve as the ships chef. Due to his open nature his services weren't just limited to that of chef. |
