Darkord took it upon himself to prove that a full blooded Klingon did not have to restrict himself to life within the Empire and more importantly that a Klingon warrior could perform the duties as a Star Fleet Officer just as well as any Federation race. It is because of this ambition that Drakord makes every effort to fit into life within Starfleet and to befriend those around him. Though being a proud Klingon he does not shy away from his Klingon nature and is more than willing to show his friends the Klingon ways. |

Drakord has found long hours of meditation to be extremely useful in calming his Klingon bruteness and can often be found meditating in his spare time. When he is not meditating he will likely be training in various forms of combat or socialising with the crew. |
| Personal History |

Darkord was born in 2357 on board a Targesh Vor’Cha Attack Cruiser. He was raised on a Klingon colony that bordered close to the Federation border and therefore has frequent contact with species from the federation as well as Star fleet. He learnt very early on that the Federation was often regarded Klingons as brutish and unable to function in ‘civilised society’. Though the Klingons around him scoffed at the ideals of the Federation Drakord saw the advantages and was always a support of relations between the two factions.
In 2373 when the Domnion War officially started Drakord was only 16 years of age but joined his fellow comrades aboard their houses brand new Negh’Var class battlecruiser. By the end of the Dominion conflict in 2375 he was a seasoned veteran. After fighting alongside Starfleet for over two years Drakord had decided to make his ambition to serve in Starfleet. Though he was repeatedly stonewalled trying to get into Starfleet as his species was not a member of the Federation and he had no heritage there, thanks to the vouching of several Starfleet officers that had thought side-by-side with him he was eventually accepted.

Went to Star Fleet academy in 2376 and graduated 2380. Served on board the USS Beijing as a Security Officer to 2386. Reassigned as a Tactical Officer onboard the USS Princeton. In 2390 he was promoted to Assistant Chief Security/Tactical Officer. Reassigned to USS Gemini as same position in 2392. |
