[Episode 1: Abducted]
March 25, 2394 The USS Ottawa departs earth space dock and sets course for a planet called Cestus III. There first mission is to rescue Colonel John Sheppard. The Ottawa learns that Colonel John Sheppard is kidnapped by pirates, and taken to the planet, so a renegade Gorn Commander can seek revenge on John. A few years back John had to kill his son in the line of duty.
Domingo Martinez is given temporary command over the USS Ottawa-A, her former acting captain Lieutenant Colonel Ellis Sheppard was looking to step down, after the nine year ordeal. The crew of the USS Ottawa went through a great tragedy and suffered a lot in an alternate dimension, that the crew describe as pure hell. Domingo convinces Ellie to stay on for one more mission as his first officer, secretly he was working on a way to get her to take the command, making her know, she was still needed and could be useful. Domingo made it his goal to help comfort her. Ellie did not know her brother was abducted by pirates hired by a Gorn Commander. Ellie agrees to assist Domingo for this one mission.
Domingo was not satisfied with only getting Ellie back for the mission. He knew of the romance between Ellie Sheppard and Jazin Ijaan. He persuaded Jazin to remain in Starfleet, he knew if Jazin did, Ellie would follow him. It did not take much to convince Jazin to remain in Starfleet. Plus he wanted to help Ellie rescue her brother from the pirates that took him.
March 26, 2394, Lieutenant Colonel Ellie Sheppard, lead the rescue mission to free her brother, at the end of the mission Ellie and Jazin agreed to stay in Starfleet, and Domingo gave command of the USS Ottawa to Ellie, but not before preforming one last act as the USS Ottawa's commanding officer. He preformed the wedding ceremony of Ellie and Jazin.
The story starts off with Domingo meeting Sarah Gillman, former senator for the Federation. He helped Starfleet Intelligent prove that her husband was a traitor and a spy. Sarah was devastated by the news and left the senate, to save image and asked to be re instated in Starfleet. She was gladly welcomed back to Starfleet and made Chief Diplomatic Officer of the USS Ottawa, under Captain Domingo Martinez.
