S1, E3: The True Way

In Season 1, Episode 3: The True Way, we learn that the USS Ottawa crew will witness the marriage of Colonel Ellie Sheppard and Commander Jazin Ijaan. While they prepare for there wedding the Cardassian Union has asked the United Federation of Planets for a meeting.

Meanwhile Peyton Patterson and Sam O'Donnaghue spend the day on Risa, being kids and having a great day. Peyton is hoping to make friends with Sam, so he can have a friend on the USS Ottawa. He came aboard the ship to spend some time with his older sister.

Commodore Domingo Martinez is dispatched to see what the Cardassians want. Before he can tend to the needs of the Cardassians, he officiates the marriage of Ellie and Jazin. Then sets course for Starbase Port Royale.

the Cardassians ask for assistance with negotiating with the True Way Alliance. Counselor Trekat of the Detapa Diplomatic Ministry Council, is dispatched to seek the aid of the Federation.

Counselor Trekat asks Commodore Martinez to help talk to the True Way Alliance. Since the United Federation of Planets will not interfere in an internal affairs of the Cardassian Union. The Cardassian Union notifies the Federation that the True Way Alliance is the old dominion that refused to surrender during the Treaty of Bajor signing.

Commodore Martinez agrees to Lieutenant Commander Sarah Gillman's request to have representatives come to Starbase Port Royale. The scene ends with Lieutenant Commander Gillman reaching out to the True Way Alliance.
