[USS Juno] I'm taking my daughter

Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E3: Down Time
Location: Sickbay, deck 16
Timeline: 05/16/2394, 2100 Hrs

Tera along with the other prisoners were freed from their captors. She wondered if they ever would be released from captivity. She had spent some time with the medical staff on the USS Juno. The ship that rescued them. At first she had no idea that Harry Anderson was her captain or that he was given temporary custody of her, by Captain Ro Laren of Deep Space Nine. She was curious why Harry avoided coming down to sickbay at first. She knew it was late into the evening, she hoped he was at home taking care of Kerja and not at the bar, picking up a new piece to score with.

Tera was a bit on edge and all fired up. She was pretty upset that Harry was given temporary custody of their daughter, she learned about this, when she called Deep Space Nine, to make sure her daughter was rescued, and not imprisoned some facility like she was. "Hey you, who do I need to talk too, to get released from this place?" Asked Tera as she looked to T'Para.

" Ma'am we have orders to hold you all here until we reach the starbase. You will be realsied when we arrive." The hybrid replied as she went about her duties.

"Well I need to save my daughter, I need to be released as soon as possible." Demanded Tera, as she waited for T'Para to do her damn job. Tera was not trying to snap at T'Para, she was suffering from PTSD, shock, depression and anxiety, after being imprisoned.

"Lieutenant Aanyo," Said T'San as she came out of her office. "I require you to be quiet. Now the captain will be down here soon to debrief you. And when that is done, you are released from this sickbay. But in the meantime, try to remain calm. Maybe you should try to take some rest."

"The Captain will debrief me, what about your first officer or second officer, can one of them not release me. I prefer to do my debrief with one of them. The Captain and I will have some words." She suggested in an aggressive and a tone of annoyance. The idea of Harry, just pissed her off.

"I am the second officer and Captain Anderson requested he debrief you. Getting all angry about it won't help in the matter. I understand you both have to talk about your daughter, so I am inclined to agree with the captain that he should be the one to debrief you," T'San explained in a calm tone. "And before you ask, I am a mother of 3 grown up sons and a teenage daughter about Kerja's age." She turned around to walk back to her office.

That's the second officer? A Vulcan, a race that lacks emotions or how to cope with attitudes. She looked around the room and noticed a man walking around, "Let me guess, your the nurse or the therapist?" Tera asked, as she looked to Dan. Noticing him making his round.

"You can call me that, but I am also the chef. Chef Dan, madam, nice to meet you," With a smile that graced from one pointy ear to the other he held out his hand to shake hers. "Before you leave, you must try some of my cooking." He was standing next to a meal cart and filled a plate for her. 'Spaghetti Bolognese, it's an Earth dish, from a beautiful country called Italy. Unless you prefer a Bajoran dish, I can get you that."

"What I prefer is to be discharged, and reunited with my daughter." Suggested Tera, trying not to loose her patience with the chef who thought he was a counselor. She walked over to the office of T'san.

"Ehm, Lieutenant, I really think you should eat something," Dan said as he walked after her.

Tera ignored Dan and continued towards the office of T'San. "Can you please call the captain, letting him know, that I would like to see him as soon as possible." Annoyingly asked Tera. Thinking she was being punished by Harry. Probably for not telling him about Kerja.

Without looking up from her padd T'San replied, "Trust me, Lieutenant, I have called him. He can be here any moment." She then looked up from the padd and towards her. "And I would suggest you accept the food my husband is offering you. You are going to need the strength. You do not want me to make that an order."

Tera could see why Harry choose her, she carried out his dirty work. Like a good little Vulcan. She walked back to the bio bed. Really annoyed about the situation. But as an answer to her petty bickering she noticed Harry walked through the sickbay doors. "Well its about time." Said Tera, with a tone of disappointment.

"It's good to see you too Tera." Said Harry, trying to keep his cool. He was on the line with Commodore Johnson and Starfleet Command. He was briefing them on the mission.

"Where is Kerja?" Asked Tera, as calmly as she could.

"In her room resting. Your welcome to see her, Doctor T'San says physically your in good health. I see no reason to keep you from her." Suggested Harry.

"Well lets go." Suggested Tera.

"In a moment. The USS Juno is heading to Empok Nor, but I would like you to consider something. transferring to the Juno, we could use another science officer." Said Harry, waiting to see how she was going to respond.

Tera looked at Harry, with a you got to be kidding me look on her face. "Not gonna happen. I am going back to Deep Space Nine, with Kerja. Thanks but no thanks, Captain." Suggested Tera with an annoyed look on her face. She noticed Dan approaching them.

"Captain, my wife informed that the Lieutenant if physically fine, but she really has to eat something. Also I have prepared a meal for you and miss Kerja in the messhall. Why don't you take her mother so you can enjoy it together?" Dan suggested. "I made more then enough."

"That will not be necessary, I just want to see my daughter. How long til we arrive at Deep Space Nine?" Asked Tera, wanting to get off the USS Juno, as soon as possible.

"Starfleet wants to debrief you at Empok Nor, my orders are to delivery all the surviors to Empok Nor. We should arrive in 8 days." Said Harry, a little annoyed how poorly Tera was treating his staff. Her quarls where with him. Not his staff.

"Very well, will you take me to see Kerja?" Annoyingly asked Tera, knowing Harry would not break orders for her.

"Harry, please take the Lieutenant to see her daughter. She is taking the morale of the other crew down, and besides she has been trough a lot, I think she deserves a break," Said Dan. He took off with his cart to another bio bed and started to serve food and injured Bajoran. He was still under observation by T'San. He seemed to be happy to see Dan. He missed real food for so long.

"Of course Tera, if you will follow me." He asked her. They left sickbay together, she remained silent.

"I suppose you want me to say thank you or sorry." Suggested Tera, with a very aggressive and annoyed tone.

"No, you did what you felt was right. I don't agree with it, but I understand why." He said, trying to be professional.

"Good." She simply said.

"Kerja is going to be excited to see you." Said Harry, trying to keep Tera talking. He was not sure why he was trying to do that. He was very upset at this woman. And now she turned down his offer to keep Kerja in his life. The transfer would have made her an assistant chief.

"She is not the only one, I am excited to see her too." Said Tera, as the scene fades.

Harry lead Tera and reunited her with her mother, and then left his room so they could catch up. The scene ends.
