Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E4: Empok Nor
Location: USS Juno
Timeline: 05/24/2394, 1700 Hrs

Orson sat in his quarters. Happy that he could help in some way. But also deep in thought. He'd expected a bigger fight. But such things were beyond him. He went to what they called a replicator and got a tea. "I wonder if T'Meela will visit again."

Since they had returned from the mission Orson had proven himself and was granted Asylum. She was on her way to take him to visit Empok Nor, like she promised him. When she cam to his quarters she hit the chime and waited for him to open the door.

Orson came to the door. And lit up once he saw his friends face. "T'Meela. Hello!" He said.

"Hello again, Orson. I promised to take you to Empok Nor," said T'Meela. "Well, we have docked and we can get on the station now. Are you ready to go?"

"I'd like that. Very much" Orson grinned.

T'Meela took his hand. "Well let's go then." She pulled him along gently to the airlock. The doors were open they could enter the station. She took him to an elevator. "Habitat ring!" She called. When the lift doors open again they walk out on to the promenade. The place was busy with people walking back and forth. There was a lot of light. Without a word she handed him a pair of sunglasses. She knew he wasn't good with light. The hood he had couldn't filter everything for him. "My mother says it will filter out all typea of bright light and it would like how it is on your planet, in moonlight." She helped him put it over his eyes. "Also the legs have a build in telepathic blocker. There are to many people here to block yourself. Thanks to medical, science and engineering." She smiled. "Have you ever been in a holosuite?"

"No. I don't believe I ever have." Orson replied. "Are they safe?"

"Oh perfectly," she said. "They have lot for entertainment. I booked us a holosuite." She turned around and took his hand again. This time she didn't pull him along, instead she just walked along the promenade just holding his hand. "I want to show you something."

"Okay by me." he said, intriqued by what could it be. His heart was racing in anticipation. "Lead on." he smiled

As they came to the holosuite, T'Meela put her data rod in to the console. And then the door opened to a beautiful, bright and sunny landscape. She walked in and then said, "Computer change to night with minimal light and moonlight. The computer tjirped in response. The environment changed. She motioned for Orson to come in. "This is Earth," She took a deep breath and then pointed to the house at the end of the moonlit path. "This is where we lived on Earth when I was younger." She looked around, "It is a remote landscape in the Loire Valley, it is an area in France, Europe. My father had a restaurant in Paris, the capitol of France." She explained. "I often come to the holo version to meditate."

"It looks very noce." Orson grinned. "A very beautiful city." he said, his eyes darting from sight to sight. The soft illumination highlighting everything and everyone he saw. It was very soothing to him. He just let go and relaxed. "Well,." he began. "You have been here before. I'll follow your lead." he smiled

"There is a cottage at the end of this path." She took his hand and lead him down the path. When they arrived at the cottage she opened the door. She opened the door and let go of his hand. She opened the windows and the weak moonlight fell in. She turned on a small light. She never been here at night. She then put a kettle with water on the stove. "Would you like some tea?" She turned the stove on. She opened a closet and pulled out a pot with tea in. She added the tea to bags.

That sounded lovely to him. He nodded vigorously. "That sounds delicious. Thank you!"

"Please," said T'Meela as she motioned him to sit on the couch. She sat down next to him. She gently took off the sunglasses. She knew he would be exposed to the thoughts of the people going around on the station, but she was convinced she could help him. She put the glasses aside and then took his hands. Focus on my voice, Orson, don't be scared, just concentrate on me. On me and this place. There is no one here but me. She spoke to him in his mind.

Yes. Of course Orson replied. He nodded. He took a deep breath. In and out it went. Which served to calm him. He did indeed focus. Looking at her only. I'll do my best

She kept holding his hands. She looked to him. "Orson, do the Crescent have special mating rituals?" She realized what she had asked only after the words left her lips. She let go of his hands. "Sorry, that was maybe a bit intimate of me." She said.
"
"Uh.." he stammered. He also blushed. "It's..nnno problem." He said. He smiled. "I don't know." He said, embarrassed. "But would you like to meet more? He said. "I've never been close like this to anyone before"

"Yes, and we will, now that you have been granted asylum. My parents have offered to be your legal guardians till come of age. But they are eager to get you any education you want." She smiled. "Maybe my father can help you too. He is more experienced with these kind of meditation. Maybe he can help you control your mental abilities."

"Wow. Thank you!" Orson replied

"Orson, why are you so reserved and shy? You left your family but you don't strike me as a rebel. Why did you leave your home and family?" She asked, curious.

"Well. On my world females are dominant." He explained. "My grandmother especially." He looked down. "I suppose that's why. I haven't had much by way of friends. Just grandmother grooming me for Sephira knows what."

T'Meela took his hand again. "I am sorry to hear that." She got up to pour a pot of tea in the kitchen. Placed honey and sugar on a trey and two cups. She then placed the trey on the table. She took his hand again. "But you are safe now. There is no need to worry about all that anymore. She gently stroke the pale skin of his hand.

Orson felt a warm sensation. Like he belonged. He smiled as T'Meela took his hand.

T'Meela let go of her hand and poured two cups of tea. She handed him one. She looked to the cup in her hand. Then she put it down and took back his. "If you want to stand up against your grandmother, you need more confidence. You will have to train your powers. You will have to use them like a Crescent would." She got up. "Use your powers to control me, try to get me on my knees. For you." She looked to him very focused. "I think you know how, you just been so pushed over by your grandmother and most likely your mother and your sisters. You deserve better."

Orson silently nodded. Years of cultural indoctrination coupled with his budding friendship with T'Meela sent his mind spinning. But he knew she meant everything she said. he could feel it. So..with reservations he agreed to her request. He asnt one to impose his will on anyone. But he reached out with his mind as she suggested. He concentrated on bringing her to her knees. And he could see her stooping to one knee.

T'Meela didn't want to make this easy for him. She tried her best to keep control of herself. But she had not expected his power to be so overwhelming. As she got on one knee she could feel every attempt to resist only fueled his mental strength. She fell on both knees. She looked up to Orson. "Do you know of a way to stop your grandmother? Make her as powerless to you as you are to her?" She felt tired from that. " Cause it looks to me you have the power inside you."

Orson stretched out a helpful hand. "I believe she did mention something about that." he said. "About a device that nulls or something like that. Might explain why I cot overwhelmed by those voices."

" T'Meela nodded. " She always kept your mental powers at bay, now they com back all at once." She fell on his shoulder. She used up all her energy to resist him. She then dropped to the couch. " You're so powerful, Orson."

"Is that bad?" he asked. "Didn't mean to hurt you or anything."

T'Meela laid on the couch and smiled to him. "I know you didn't. It was partially my fault. I fought back, it took a lot of my energy. I just need to rest a bit. I will be fine. Maybe some tea?"

"I'll get it." he smiled. He poured her a cup before getting one himself. He smiled warmly as he handed it to her.
