Mission:
[USS Ottawa] S1 E4 Mission New Haven
Location: Holodeck
Timeline: 06/02/2394 1900
When Sam had finished dinner with her brother and helped him clean up she hurried to the holodeck. She stopped in front of the door and noticed a program was already running. She went through the door and looked around the room. She smiled when she saw Peyton. She walked to him. "So, what are we seeing here?" She asked.
Peyton smiled, as he started to walk into the first cave. "This one is not very big, and luckily its low tide, so we can see all of the wonder." He said, as he turned off his head lamp, and allowed the natural luminescence from the planets to glow. It was very humid in the cave. It was clear this cave, spent most of its time below the sea line.
"It's a good thing I dressed for occasion." She grinned as she looked to the old clothes and shoes she was wearing and still looked fashionable. She held up and slowly moved her shadow alongside the walls. "It is very beautiful."
"Ya it is, I wish we were here, to bad we did not get the chance, when we were on Risa. But I think we had fun." Said Peyton, as he walked further into the cave. He was being careful, the rocks were wet and could be slippery.
Sam just followed him. She held tight on the straps of her back pack. "How long can we stay here before the tide rises again?" she asked. She knew the holodecks safeties were on, so that probably wouldn't happen, but she just wanted to hear how much he knew about the caves.
"About an hour, but we are half way through the cave, don't tell me your concerned?" Peyton, thinking that was adorable, that she might be concerned. He smiled as he continued to lead the way, he stopped by a laminating plant. He was admiring its beauty.
She shook her head. "Concerned, no. Just testing your knowledge of the cave." She stopped at the laminating plant as well. "Are these common for a place like this?" She kept asking questions to see how much he knew.
"Yes, a lot of low level sea caves on Risa has natural laminating plants, its the whole reason, I like to visit the caves. Easier than deep sea diving." Suggested Peyton, with a grin on his face. He was happy to see that Sam was interested in the laminating plants.
"You also do deep sea diving. Do you do that a lot?" Sam asked as she looked to the muddy floorbed under her dark grey old sneakers.
"Just in the holodeck, but don't tell Emily, she will freak out." Peyton, as they continued to explore the cave. The cave opened up to a big chasm. Peyton continued on. "Have you ever gone deep sea diving?" He asked.
She shook her head. "There is a lot I have done, but that is one thing I have yet to do. Maybe you can teach me some times?" She winked.
"Sounds like fun." Peyton said, as they continued to walk for a bit. He eventually led them out of the cave network. "Thanks for tagging along, its always nice to have the company." Peyton said with a big cheesy smile on his face.
Sam smiled back. "Thanks for the tour." She then headed to the turbo lift.
