Sarah and Domingo had been in talks for most of the day. Prime Minster Tal'Ki, was pretty adamant about the The Glosia Empire joining the Federation. A few of his minsters had their own concerns with a Federation Alliance.

It was clear to Domingo, that there was tension in the air, about this political alliance. If they did not come to a contentious, he would have to recommend to the Federation Council to delay the Glosian Empire admission to the Federation.

Sarah was doing her best to keep the minsters on the table. But each of them, had their own political agenda's. This might be a new government, but its members were made up of old way thinking.

Domingo knew that they needed to change the old ways, but instead they adopted the old ways, a system that failed for them before. He was fearful, that they were still on a path of destruction from within. "Prime Minster Tal'Ki, maybe a short recess is in order." Asked Domingo, thinking that the table needed a short break. The conversation was not progress.

"Good idea Commodore, we will recess for evening meal." Said Prime Minster Tal'Ki. He was starving, and food sounded good at the moment. He wanted to keep his strength up.

Domingo wondered why the Emperor was not in this meeting? He wondered if the Emperor was more of a ceremonial role, or if he was just ignoring his minsters. Domingo was not sure. "Thank you, your excellency." Domingo said, as he stood up and gave a slight bow.

Sarah stood up and bowed too, right after Domingo. "Well this is isn't going well." She said as she looked to Domingo. Sarah noticed a guard was approaching their position. It was the military escort.

"I will take you the dinning hall." Said the Guard, as he motioned with his hand for Sarah and Domingo to follow him.

"No it's not, but will talk about that later." Domingo said, as he started to follow the guard. He was not sure if the guard could be trusted. So it was better to keep his mouth shut. He did not want the Prime Minster to know, that he was thinking about recommending to the Federation to deny acceptance of the Glosian Empire.

"Understood." Said Sarah, she could tell by his tone and body language that he had more to say, but because of the escort, he was reluctant to say anything.

The guard led them to a small room, it was all decorated, and pulled out a chair for them. "The steward will be a long momentarily, please make yourself comfortable." The Guard said, as he bowed and left the room.

The steward came in and provided a plate of food and some beverages. And then left without saying anything, but they made sure to bow for Domingo and Sarah.

"I took the liberty of ordering for us all, I hope you both do not mine." Said Prime Minster Tal'Ki as he joined the room, and took a seat. He was sitting directly across from the two of them.

Domingo and Sarah started to get up, but Prime Minster Tal'Ki, motioned for them to remain seated. Domingo smiled as he wondered what the Prime Minster was up to. The scene starts to fade.
