Mission:
[New Haven] S1, E1: The Emissary's Return
Location: Glosia III, Council Room
Timeline: MD002 0900 hrs
"Prime Minster, I am not sure if their is anything we can do about helping you join the Federation. Now that does not mean, we can not offer humanitarian aid and relief effort. And help your culture. Clearly things on Glosia, a far from stable." Domingo said, as he stared down Prime Minster Tal'Ki.
Tal'ki was annoyed, but he was also a politician. He knew this could still be beneficial to his people. "What kind of assistance, can we expect from the Federation neighbors?" He asked, with a concerned look on his face. He was trying to over play the scenario, to gain sympathy.
"For starters trade." Domingo said, as he continued on. "The Glosian's have been through a great order, over the past decade. And you just recently colonized this homeworld, trade deals will allow you to build your empire up." Suggested Domingo.
"The Ferengi Commerce Alliance, has been assisting us with that, Commodore Martinez." Suggested Tal'ki. Trying to undermine him, to get him to offer more on the table.
"And making a profit, at the expensive of your people. As long as you have resources to barter, the Ferengi will be kind. Grand Nagus Rom, is very just, but his people are greedy. And will make a profit at all cost." Suggested Domingo.
Sarah silently said to herself, what in the hell you doing Dom. That will only anger the prime minster, pointing out his flawed logic. She remained silent.
"And the Federation would not be?" Sarcastically asked Tal'ki, as he looked Domingo in the face. He knew the federation would profit from this trade deal, if he would agree to it.
"We will not bleed your resources dry, we can offer assistance with technology and education and man power. We can help the Glosian's economically. But we will only do this, at your request." Suggested Domingo, realizing his mistake earlier, and now trying to fix it.
"I have requested the Federation help, I requested membership. But you tell me no, and you tell me I need to ask for assistance. Tell me Commodore, how many times must I ask the Federation for help, before they will provide that help?" Tal'ki asked, with a bit snarky in his attitude.
"Just once Prime Minster, its why I am here today." Domingo said, a little annoyed, but trying his best to hide it. "The federation is ready to help." Said Domingo, as the three of them continue to talk, as the scene fades.
