Timeline: 5000 years ago

The universe is a very old place. And has seen a lot of heart ship and pain. And like our own heart she stores all that darkness in a corner. But what if that darkness comes alive? What if that darkness grabs you by your ankles and takes you in? What if you encountered that darkness? What if that darkness showed you your worse nightmares? What if that Darkness could touch you? What if that darkness wanted you? And your loved ones?

<5000 years earlier> Andromeda galaxy First quadrant (Paranormal Universe)

Muy was running through the ruins of the temple of her planet. She stopped for a moment and looked to the sky as she saw a dark spot like an eclipse move in front of the sun. She knew it was no moon that was blocking the sun. She looked around as the darkness started to engulf the entire planet. She looked weary screaming from her people in the village close by.

She was panting heavily as she looked around nervously. She tried to keep it together as she try to climb to the inner chamber of the temple. For many years her people were tortured by this darkness. Images and nightmares from the past coming to life. People disappearing, dying. It had to stop. She had to save her people.

She reached the inner chamber. She heard something besides the distant screams. She looked round. Something in the dark shadows was moving around. Muy swallowed as she turned around and walked up to the altar. She stepped up on it. She tried to ignore the whisper and shuffling in the shadows behind her. She looked up to the sky. She raised her arms. “Umbra!” She called. “Spare my people, take me.”

Muy heard footsteps behind her she turned around. “Lai, stay back!” She motioned the same thing. The girl Lai went closer. “Muy, please don't.” Muy turned back to Lai. “I must, Lai, I have no choice!” Suddenly the wind swelled on. The wind went harder. Lai grabbed Muy's hand. Muy pulled her hand back and pushed Lai back. A dark mist was now riding the wind and surrounded Muy. Muy looked at Lai. Lai looked back as Muy disappeared in the mist. Lai got up and looked at the whirlwind with black mist and she could see the figures of Muy as she saw the instinctive struggle her body made as to fight the mist. Lai heard the icy scream as the mist disappeared and the darkness surrounding the planet slowly disappeared and the eclipse disappeared as well as if nothing had happened.

But she remembered. Lai remembered, she still remembered the fear in Muy's eyes, but at the same time the knowledge what she did, had to be done. She walked up to the alter and put her hand on the place Muy stood. Tears came down from her eyes. She then picked up a rock and started to carve something in the stone alter. She then used the sharp edge to cut her hand then rubbed her blood on the letters on the alter. It read: “Love you always.” She then lay down next to the words and just stayed there. Eventually she died of hunger and thirst. Soon Muy and Lai were forgotten and the tortured years on their planet as well. But Umbra wasn't gone forever.
