***Starbase New Haven***
T'Meela was sitting in her quarters. There was still a lot that needed to be done for the wedding and she was learning more and more about Crescent weddings. The fact that she now had to share a husband hadn't fully sank in. And she needed some time for that. Now that the date was closing in, she wasn't allowed to see her groom for the next few days. As was Crescent custom. Apparently the only one he could see was his father. So Orson moved in with Captain Bervag.
And she also had to stay in. And she was suppose to do something with her sister. There were some rituals she needed to do with her sister. Kadja explained it to her. But T'Meela had no sister. She only had brothers. And her bond with Kerja wasn't that great she would call her her sister. She wasn't really sure who could possibly fulfill this role.
Some of the missions would involve time with her future sister wife. She would someone with her she could trust and with a lot of experience.
Then she had an idea. It's been a while since she spoke to her. But she couldn't think of anyone else. "Computer, please open communications with the USS Shanghai, I would like to speak with Lieutenant Jexen."
The computer tjirped in reponse.
***USS Shanghai***
Sitting at the lab bench, Kimoni looked up from her PADD at the Alien Orb. She'd made some headway but so far it was almost as unknown to her as it had been when they'd first taken it. She let out a slight sigh and put the PADD down as she set up another scanning program.
As the scan started, her console beeped. She stood up and walked over to the main desk and sat down, pressing the button to complete the connection. She smiled as T'Meela's face appeared on the screen.
"Good Morning T'Meela, what can I do for you?" She asked.
"Good morning, Lieutenant," T'Meela said, "I am not sure news has reached you yet, but I am getting married, and due to some unforeseen circumstances its going to be a Crescent wedding. And according to Crescent tradition there are some rituals I have to go through with my sister. And I do not have sisters. So I was wondering if you would be my surrogate sister for this wedding?"
Kimoni took a second to think about what she'd just heard, taking it all in.
"Of course I'll step in to help, I'm honoured you'd ask." She replied, "Just let me know what you need and when and I'll be there."
"Thank you, Lieutenant, I will away your return to the base. Have a safe journey, T'Meela out," T'Meela turned off the screen on her end.
Nodding to herself as the screen in front of her went black. "Computer, access known information of Crescent pre-wedding rituals and transfer to my PADD." The computer acknowledged her request as she stood up and grabbed the PADD, "Right then, time for a shower and breakfast I think."

T'Meela sighed. She probably had best to start prepare for the rituals before Kimoni arrived.
