Mission:
[USS Saigon] Flowers for the Admiral
Location: Mazingira, Capitol of Floria
Timeline: MD001 1500 hrs
Mazingira, the Capitol of Floria, is the central, most largest city on the Planet Floria. In nearly thirty years Floria had grown to a magnificent and cultural society. And Mazingira, birthplace and home of Elmash. His wife Lilypad and their daughter Rose.
Lilypad walked in to the master chamber of their house. The master chamber is the center of a Florian home. It serves as a common area, the place to meet guests and meet with the family. Elmash was sitting at the table reading reports. Lilypad stood straght at attention and softly said in his mind, "Husband, I have returned from our orbit station. We have repelled the enemy. And we also got a message from Starfleet. The USS Saigon has been send to us. Admiral Llewellyn is on board as requested."
She looked around the room a moment and then looked up the centrail spiral chair. She tilted her head a little as she said in Rose's mind, who was upstairs, "Daughter, Rose, come join us."
She looked up from her book. Both Lilypad and Elmash were waiting for her. Rose left her book in her room and went downstairs to join her parents. "Mother. Father" , she greeted them with a bright smile. She wondered if her parents had something important to tell her. She didn't have much to do with anything other than books and creative stuff, like writing and creating pretty things. Her interest had never been much about wars and armies. No, her interests were people and learning things. She wondered if there was something important going on. If so, she was more than a little bit curious as to what it could be.
"Daughter." Elmash said. "How are you this fine day?" he asked, coming in for a hug.
Lillypad nodded to her husband. "Our outpost in space has received a message. The USS Saigon with Admiral Llewellyn is on their way to our world. They wish to start the negotiations on our petition to join the Federation. This is wonderful news."
What was Mother talking about? Rose wondered. Mother knew a lot about warfare and the like. Rose on the other hand... Books. Books. And books. It did sound interesting though. However, as she knew nothing about what her mother spoke about, she kept silent. Sometimes, listening was better than asking. It had often given her more information than by asking questions. Hopefully, everything would be explained soon.
"Oh?." Elmash said. "That's wonderful news. Truly wonderful!" he said. "Send them a welcoming reply as soon as possible." he said. He looked to see Rose somewhat confused. "Youll find out what we mean soon enough. Lets just sai==y some old friends are returning after a long time."
"Already done that," Lilypad replied, she sighed a little. She was a bit worried as well. "Elmash, my love, I hope they will be here soon. The enemy is coming. Long range scanners showed they are on their way as well. I have send the battle pods. But it would really help if starfleet came here soon. Last time..." She sighed.

"Yes. That was an unfortunate episode. All the more reason why this meeting needs to happen. As members of the federation we'll be in a slightly better position. Besides the Admiral is an honorable man, he'll help."
Lilypad nodded. She was still a bit worried. She walked out of their house and looked at the starry night sky.
