Mission: [USS Saigon] Flowers for the Admiral
Location: USS-Saigon Bridge
Timeline: MD002 1300 hrs

=Bridge=

Deanna was called to be on the watch, while the command team were at meetings. It was a lovely view out in space on the way to Floria. Deanna has not been there yet or any of the crew, Deanna wondered what to expect with these Florians. She looked around the bridge wondering
what they think. This will be interesting… Deanna thought even though she’s half-Betazoid half-human. Deanna looked around and said, “USS Saigon bridge crew what’s your own take with theses Florians?” She asked.

Jayden was standing next to Deanna. He was holding a PADD. “I have been reading up on them. I guess that is expected of me as the ship`s counselor.” He smiled to her. “Commander,” he added. He then looked at his PADD. “Anyways, I have been looking at the logs from the USS Arlington. Oh, on a side note, I grew up on that vessel.” He then quickly continued with a smile, “The Florians are everything the name suggest. Their entire body is made out of plant and flower leaves. This is interesting, they communicate completely through telepathy. They are even able to communicate with non-telepathic species according to the – now – Admiral Th`zhareth.” She looked to the PADD. “I am really interested to meet one of them up close. I think I remember my mother talked about them.”

Deanna looked at Jayden, “I’d like to meet them myself. I’ll try to contain myself with telepathic abilities being ½ Betazoid.” Deanna said, while sitting on the Captain’s chair watching out into space; with the captain was busy in her Office.

Jayden smiled and said, “Plenty of those going around the task force. I am as well. But restraining yourself is not going to work, from what I read about them, that`s their form of communication, I am not sure if they found another way to communicate, but when the Arlington was there, none of them used speech as a form of communications, so this could be quite interesting to experience.”

J`Tagh tapped her commbadge, =/\=Commander Stormer, ETA to Floria,=/\= J`Tagh asked her first officer.

Deanna answered the call as she looked over at Helm. =/\=Helm says a ½ hour sir.=/\=

=/\=Let me know when we are there. Then drop from warp and contact the Admiral. She will want to be on the bridge when we make contact=/\= J`Tagh responded to her XO.

=/\=Understood sir.=/\= Deanna acknowledged. She double-tapped her commbadge closing one channel and opening another to the Admiral, “Admiral Reisen, we’re almost to Floria, Captain J`Tagh, wants you to be on the bridge now to be ready.=/\= Deanna said informatively.

=/\=Thankyou Commander Stormer=/\= Yadira said and closed her terminal and prepared herself for the arrival.

Simon sat at the ops station making sure that all departments were ready, he hadn't had any time to himself, what with checking Stores and making sure that every department had the correct amount of energy being supplied, even his rounds to the holodecks had been a must for when the crew got off shift they could relax, now that they were in obit of the planet, he hoped that he would be able to relax, but somehow he doubted that he would.

=Bridge=

Deanna the whole time was sitting on the Captain’s chair doing her XO duties and watching out for the planet Flora she then got up feeling a leg cramp and decided to stand and shake it off before something got worse. She looked out into space then tapped her commbadge, =/\=Captain J`Tagh & Admiral Reisen please come to the bridge.=/\= Deanna requested.

Jayden looked to the screen. He then turned to Deanna. “Commander, we would also need to inform Admiral Llewellyn. He would want to be here when we make contact with the Florians. I would also think as the first captain having contact with them, and them asking for him specifically to operate on behalf of the Federation, would make it even more so important to inform him of our arrival.”

=/\=J`Tagh here, understood Commander. On my way=/\= closing the com, J`Tag stopped by the Admirals office, “Yadira we are requested on the bridge as we have arrived,” she said.

“Good J`Tagh, I am eager to meet with the Florians myself. Shall we?” Yadira said, motioning towards the lift to the bridge.

Before anyone could do anything, the screen turned on and for anyone’s guess this would be a Florian that appeared on the screen. She looked around the room. Her eyes than rested on Deanna. Then everyone on the bridge could hear her speak, but she wasn’t speaking vocally. It was telepathically. I am General Lilypad of the Florian defense force. We were informed of your arrival. We’re glad you could join us with such haste. You must prepare for battle an enemy is approaching. I will have our ships take formation around your ship.

Deanna was surprise she spoke telepathically as she stood. Greetings General Lilypad, I am Commander Deanna Stormer of the starship USS Saigon, my commanding officer is Captain J`Tagh Yesarina House of Malok. Deanna told her. As for your ships gathering around us, that is very gracious, but we will still help with an enemy of yours as well. Deanna smiled. Deanna then tapped the comm. on the chair, “Captain Yesarina, and Rear Admiral Reisen please come to the bridge the Florians are bringing their ships to us for safety of an enemy coming this way.” Deanna informed the two commanding officers.

Lilypad nodded. I will speak to your captain when the threat is over. The enemy will be here in mere minutes. I hope your presence will repel them and we don’t have to fight.

Deanna nodded, Yes you have no problems with me, and we will help in the fight if there is one. Deanna said.

The lift opened and both the Admiral and the captain stepped out onto the bridge. J`Tagh seeing the approaching ships immediately spoke, “Report.”

Be`Lonna was on the bridge as well at the Security Tactical station right behind Commander Stormer.

Yadira took the seat on the other side of the command chair and watched the scene unfold. Tapping her commbadge, =/\=Sickbay, this is the Admiral, please prepare for possible injuries. There may be a fight, please be ready,=/\= and she closed the com.

Be`Lonna looked at the Admiral. “You and the others are going to need Security protection over this Admiral.” Be`L mentioned to her. “With all the commotion going on.” Be`L also said.

Jayden was staring at the screen. He was quite impressed by the Florian general. She was magnificent. His thought train was pulled back to reality when he heard the commander talking. “Security protection? I think we may have a protective angel today.” He could sense a presence with them, and a calming breeze and smell. A smile came on his face. “They should describe her entrance like, ‘and she enters the scene with a breeze and a familiar smell.’” He smiled.

“Only I smell my mother’s apple cobbler instead. Wonderful smell. Reminds me of home,” Yadira said, waiting for the presence to show itself.

“Yes Admiral, mother’s rokeg blood pie never smelled so good,” J`Tagh said smiling, knowing that they were going to have a visitor shortly.

Then Mother Rose appeared in her human form. "You have arrived, Commander, Admiral. There is an enemy coming, but fear not, the Florians will stand by you. Also for this Admiral Llewelyn must come as well. The florians have requested for him. He has never been on the planet, they only heard about him, but they trust no one else. Other people from the Arlington that visited them nearly 30 years ago."

Deanna was watching them talk while looking at the Saigons Screen as well, And Be'Lonna stayed on the bridge for Security protection of the Saigons guests, She walked over to Deanna."I hope this mission lasts good we don't need problems now." Be'L told Deanna.
Deanna looked at Be'Lonna, "Well that's your job as Security Lieutenant." Deanna smiled.

"Mother Rose, be assured Admital Llewelyn will be present as requested", Admiral Reisen said smiling.

"Mother Rose do you have any special orders or requests you need taken care of?", J'Tagh asked smiling.

Mother Rose looked to J'Tagh. She slowly shook her head and smiled friendly to her. "No this is all. I trust you will take of my children well. I am going to meet with Elmash now. We haven't spoken in some time." She walked past Deanna. "Commander you are very young. But you will learn."

Deanna looked at Mother Rose with a smile."Thank you, ma'am, I appreciate that." Deanna grinned

Meanwhile Jayden was standing next to the First officer beaming and not sure what to say. He was in the presence of a deity. How many people can say that.

Mother Rose turned to Jayden and tilted her head. "You bare the name of your mother. You're heart is as strong as her." She then smiled to him. "Bring my greetings to her." She softly blew in his face and he could smell the smell of the cookies his step father used to bake for him. She then disappeared.
