Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E3: Down Time
Location: Charlena's quarters
Timeline: 05/17/2394, 0400 Hours

Harry heard the alarm clock buzzing, he was fast asleep in Charlena's bed. They had been spooning all night long. He woke up smiling, and grabbed Charlena and pulled her closer to his position. "Morning." He simply said. Not wanting to move from her bed.

Charlena mumbled something muffled. She stretched herself in his arms. "Harry, we have to get up even if the bed is nice and warm." She turned around and put a kiss on his nose before trying to wiggle loose from his embrace. There was so much to do. Washing up, morning run, breakfast.

Harry crawled out of bed. And walked over to the mirror, taking looking at himself, he seemed to be glowing. He smiled as he walked over to her. He continued to smile as he stood next to her and called out, "You were kidding about morning run?" He asked, remembering the conversation they had the night before.

Charlena shook her head and said, "No, I am a marine Harry, we get up early, wash up, run for at least an hour before breakfast. Then breakfast, sometimes the other way around, but I never start my day without my morning run."

Harry started to stretch, while he was stretching he started to think to himself. This is going to suck. But he pushed toughs feelings aside, and continued stretching. "Ready as I ever will be." He said, with a nervous smile on his face.

She put her training sneakers on and started her stretching as she walked out of the room. She then came back with training shorts, a shirt and sneakers for Harry. "Here you go. I think you could use a bit of routine in your life." She smirked. "And will give you back that nice shape. Maybe even help you focus." She was just teasing him, but she still though it would be good for him.

Harry grabbed the shoes, and gave her an annoyed smirk, but in a playful way. "There is nothing wrong with my shape." He said as he put the shoes on, and followed her out of corridor. He started to wonder how Kerja was doing? What was the reunion like?

Charlena grinned. "I know, just teasing, but still, could make you feel better. A morning run. Trust me it's a great way to start your day. You feel energized, rejuvenated.." She did some more stretches. "How about we take this deck and make our way to down?" She suggested.

"Lead the way, Captain." Said Harry as the two of them started to run. She took off first, which was okay for Harry. He watched her tight ass, for a brief moment. Then he started to run, and tried to catch up to her.

Charlena ran over the deck with Harry on her tail. She made the route a little more interesting and took a few jeffrey tubes. On their way they past a few officers leaving or going on duty. Their eyes followed the two captains as they ran in to the next corridor.

They climbed down a few more decks down and then ran past engineering and back up the recreational decks. After an hour, Charlena lead them back up and then to the mess hall, there she finally stopped. She looked on her wrist computer. She smiled and said, "Well done! Wooh. Let's have breakfast. I asked Dan to make us a killer breakfast." She walked to the kitchen.

Dan came out with two plates. "Right on time, Charlena, Harry. Eggs, bacon and toast. Get yourself a seat at a table, I will bring you orange juice and coffee."

They each took a plate and then sat down at a table. Dan followed close behind and put their drinks next to their plates. "Bon apetit."

Harry took a seat, and looked at the plate of food. He started to look at the food as he said. "How are you handling everything?" Harry asked? Finding out that Kerja is leaving, and another daughter would be taking her place? Harry was a little bit of an emotional wreck. He was doing his best to hide his feelings.

Charlena didn't know what he was talking about. When she finally realized it she said, "To be honest I never really spoken to Kerja so I don't know her that well. And your other daughter, you just told me about her yesterday." She took a few bites from her food and was in silence for a moment. And then continued, "She is your daughter, I leave it to you when you want her to meet me. Or me to meet her, it's up to you. But I would think its best if you get to know her first before introducing her to me. It's hard enough to meet a dad you haven't seen in a long time."

"I appreciate your understanding with all of this." He said as he reached out to hold her hand.

"I walked in to my mother once while she was cheating on my father," She replied, "It wasn't very pleasant. This is hardly the same situation of course, but I could imagine how she would react to suddenly meet her father she never met in her entire young life and then to be confronted with his new flame." She took a sip from her juice. "I would also understand if you spend more time with her then with me the coming days."

"You are a generous woman, and I appreciate you." He said, wanting Charlena to know how grateful he was for all her generosity and compassion.

"It's fine," she said, "And thank you." She blushed a little.

"The Juno, will arrive at Empok Nor in a few days, but until then I have a few hours to kill. Do you have plans tonight?" He asked rhetorically. For the next few days, he was going to bunking with her. Tera and Kerja took over his room, and he was staying with her.

"I have a sleep over guest, but other then that, I don't have plans. What did you have in mind?" She just continued the delicious breakfast.

"I have some holodeck time reserved, care to join me?" Asked Harry, hoping that Charlena would be willing to engaged in one of his holodeck adventures. He needed to blow off some steam.

"Sure, just tell me what time and I will be there," She said, "Do I need to wear anything specific?"

"Do you like to go white water kayaking?" Asked Harry, he assumed she did, since she was a marine and in phenomenal shape.

"I'm not a big fan, but I did several water sports during my training, including Kayaking. I would love to join you," replied Charlena.

"I'm glad, I want to show you, there is more to me than new orleans or the night life. I am glad your coming with. Be nice to have a kayaking partner for a change." He said, with a grin on his face.

She nodded, "I am glad to join you." She smiled back.
