Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E3: Down Time
Location: Xalanth's Quarters
Timeline: 05/18/2394, 1900 Hours

Xalanth had always felt like a fish out of water. Now with the other three dragonians he could feel more eyes on him than ever before. He didn't know which of the two was drawing more attention the eldar female or the two others who's scales were as black as night and eyes were as pale as starlight. Their heads bore a detailed white paint to highlight the shape of there skull making the two even more intimidating.

" Not very defensible. It could do with more chock points and sentry turrets." the eldar said drawing as much attention as her organic dragoian battle armour and elegant looking helmet that was far too big for her.

" It was built for explration not for battle and the federation has more than...." Xalanth began before one of the guards let out a very high pitched clicking from his mouth. Turning the lizard notched the Juno's executive officer looking at the odd party. " It's okay he's from my ship. Commander Bers may i present the chair of war leader of my people's military. She also happens to be my grand mother." Xalanth said in a rather out of character and timidly tone.

Bervag smiled. Xalanth timid? Wow he thought as he bowed in respect. He had no idea what to do, he'd never met dragonian brass before. "It's an honor." he said. "Lieutenant Commander Bervag Bers, of the planet Trill." he said in greeting.

" Please enough with the bowing I have enough people bowing to me every time I have to use the privy. I certainly don't need it when I'm visiting my great grandchildren. " The elder lizard said removing the helmet and rubbing the top of her head. Her head was smaller than Xalanths, but her face appeared to be nothing more than a mess of scars and old wounds. She was clearly a veteran of a thousand battles fought long before Xalanth or Bervag had been born. Stepping forward she offered her hand. " It's nice to meet one of the men who command my grandson. I hope his behaviour is satisfactory."

Bervag eagerly took the hand. He gave it a good shake."More than satisfactory." He said. "I've seen him in action in away missions and aboard ship." He took a breath. "Your grandson is both a great officer, and friend."

" Good. I hate for my training off him to have been for nothing. He needed a good wack on his head to get him to shoot straight. " The older lizard replied with a tone of pride in her voice. " We aren't going to be here. We have a few worlds to check out for possible colonisation. I'll just be stopping by to check on my grandkids then we'll be off."

Bervag grinned. He almost had to know more. He mentally reminded himself to chat with Xalanth. He nodded. "Sounds good." the Trill said. "How are you liking the Juno so far? If I may ask,"

" She's an interesting ship though she's just too organic. How do you not go mad in this thing?" The elderly lizard responded running a finger along the grey wall as she did so.

" Dragonian ships are techno-organic." Xalanth quickly explained.

"Ah." He nodded." Well, our recreational facilities sure help. Holodecks and the like. We've also had the odd party here or there." He took a breath. "Techo-organic" he smiled. "That sounds like a wonder to behold." He added

" Oh, they are. Once you get use to the smell. Still, we won't take up more of your time lieutenant I have two small girls to vist. " the elderly lizard replied.

"Oh?" Bervag replied. He turned to Xalanth. "Holodeck someday? You could show me."

" Sure i could show you one sir. Been a while since i've been on one myself. " the security cheif responded.

"Sounds like fun. In return, I'll show you some interesting points on Trill." He smiled

" Sounds good. I'll see you later sir." The security cheif replied as he led the small group of lizards down the corridor.

"See you then. A pleasure to meet you." he called out
