[USS Juno] Back against the wall, Part 2

Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E6: The Last Ride
Location: USS Juno Bridge
Timeline: 06/02/2394, 1050 Hours

The USS Juno, continued to receive weapons damage from the enemy vessels that were chasing them. The bridge crew were doing their best to stay one step ahead of the Crescent. Harry wanted an status update on the enemy prisoners. "Commander T'San, report on status of enemy prisoners?" Asked Harry as he tapped on his combadge.

"Everything is set up, Captain. I am not expecting any problems from them." T'San replied.

"Understood, Commander Bers will go down to assist you. I will join you all once we have secured from battle stations, Anderson out." Called out Harry as he looked to Bervag.

"On my way" Bervag nodded.

After Bervag left the bridge, Harry stood up and walked over to tactical. "Status of enemy vessels?" Asked Harry, wondering how the three ships behind them were holding up. He wanted to escape as soon as possible. But the Crescent were making it difficult.

The USS Juno, was taking a little bit of pounding, but Harry knew his shields were holding, so this bought thenm a little bit of time. He looked over to Xalanth, hoping to hear some good news. But deep down, he expected to hear some bad news.

" Three..." The lizard began before pausing as one of the ship's torpedoes struck the crescent ships causing an explosion to ripple through the enemy ship which began turning as it was blasted away from it's sister ships. " Make that two sir. Must have hit the ammo storage." The lizard said with a slight grin on his reptilian face.

"Miss Taylor, I hope you see that opening." Called out Harry, as he got out of his chair, and walked over to the helmsman station. To point to the direction, he wanted to go.

"Aye Captain, adjusting our course now." She said as she started to pilot the USS Juno, the Crescent were trying to reform their lines. They were trying to keep the USS Juno bottled in.

Harry tapped on his combadge. "Mister Newman, prepare to fire up the QSD." Ordered Harry.

"Captain, I do not recommend that, we are taking to much weapons fire." Said Alexander, who was worrying if creating the QSD Wormhole was a great idea. "Captain I must point out that with all the energy that is required to create the jump, and weapons fire coming from the enemy. We could damage the ship." He said, he also knew the jump would damage the enemy vessels as well.

"We do not really have choice, Lieutenant, fire up the QSD, and standby for my orders. I am confident that you can keep the ship together, till we can escape harm." Said Harry. He wanted to get the USS Juno out of the ambush. And this was his best course of action, at the moment.

"Yes Captain. " Said Alexander, as he started to prep his guys.

"Mister Xalanth, keep the port ship clear of the flight path vector. Were getting out of here!" Said Harry, wanting the two officers to work instinctively together.

" Working on it sir. " The lizard replied. The crescent ships we're proving more tricky moving there hulls to prevent him from knocking them out as he had done to their sister ship.

"Mister Newman, we can not keep this up all day, status of my QSD?" Asked Harry, as he continued to watch the Crescent swarm the USS Juno. The impacts were damaging the shields and hull. But the ship was still in the fight.

"QSD is firing up, I strongly recommend against this. We could cause potential damage to the support frame of the USS Juno." Said Alexander, warning his captain.

"It will get us back home, will it not?" Asked Harry. They really had no options. The USS Juno, needed to get out of harms way.

"Yes Captain." Said Alexander reluctantly.

"Then make it happen, on my order." Said Harry. As he looked over to Xalanth.

"Mister Xalanth, I need my whole." Called out Harry in a stern tone.

" One whole coming up sir. " The lizard yelled as more torpedoes ripped from there shoots. Something appeared to be wrong as they didn't fly, but merely drifted from behind the ship. Xalanth could already hear people begin to yell that the torpedoes had misfired. A sly grin spread over his face as he waited for one of the cresent ships to float over the apparently harmless torpedoes before...

A massive explosion blasted out from under the ship causing the ship to flip and smash into one of it's companions in a crunch of broken metal.

"A hole created sir. " He said not keeping his eyes off the screen a he kept the other cresnt ships back.

"That's our chance, Miss Taylor punch it." He said, as he noticed from the main monitor that the Juno was heading for the opening. The ship was still taking impact shots, from enemy weapons fire.

"Mister Newman, intiate QSD Jump, now." Called out Harry over the intercom.

"Aye Captain." Alex said still thinking to himself this was a mistake, he did strongly advise against this course of action. The USS Juno, while under fire started to initiate a QSD jump.

"Captain Anderson to the crew, prepare for extreme turbulence jump into QSD, we have an opening and were going to take. Please find cover, and stay away from any areas with eps conduits or windows, were probably going to cause internal damage to the Juno, but the risk is justified, if we stay here any longer, we risk being captured or killed." Said Harry as he closed the ship wide communication channel.

The USS Juno, jumped into QSD, and like Alex feared, there was severe damage to the hull, frame supports and several ruptured eps conduits throughout the ship. Luckily no one was severly hurt. There was a few minor injuries caused by the jump, that were reported by the crew.
