Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E6: The Last Ride
Location: Mess Halll
Timeline: 06/02/2394, 1800 Hours

Avril went down to the mess hall, after a long dragged out battle with the Crescent. She found herself to be hungry. It was now dinner time. She went through the chow line before heading to a table to sit down. She started situate her plate, when she noticed another person approaching, she smiled at him.

"Hello Miss Taylor, may I join you tonight?" Asked Alexander. He was a little tired from the long day of keeping the USS Juno intact. To him it seemed like the Crescent, were doing everything in their power to destroy her. But they failed, and Alexander was grateful.

"By all means." Said Avril with a big grin on her face. She was not expecting company tonight. But after the long battle sequence, she did not mind it. She was a little tired, and really hungry. She continued to eat her food, as she noticed Alexander taking a seat directly across from her.

Alexander took a seat, and placed his tray in front of him. He started to consume his food. Realizing that he was being rude. He swallowed his food, and said. "Sorry, I am a little hungry. Where are my manners?" He asked rhetorically.

"It's okay Alex, we all get a little hungry. Been a long day." Avril said, with a warm smile on her face. She said as she continued to eat her food. She wondered if Alex had skipped breakfast and lunch, with the way he was eating.

"I can only imagine how chaotic it was on the bridge with the crescent, leeching onto us like locus." Said Alexander, as he noticed how calm she was. ""You seem to be handling it well." Said Alex wondering how she was able to keep it together. Alex was exhausted and fatigued from the constant stress of it all.

"It was very stressful, but I did my best to leave all of that on the bridge. I am a little fatigued, after it all, to be honest. Hence why I am here, trying to get my energy up." She said, as she took another bite from her plate.

Alex started to slow down on his eating. He looked over to Avril. "So its not just me, I guess my manners need some improvement. I was hungry too, and very hungry. It's amazing what stress does to the body." He said, thinking how it gives you adrenaline to get through the crisis, but how fast it zaps you, when its done!

"If your not careful it could lead to some serious medical conditions. Sickbay may seem like a nice to have on a ship, until your actually there. It's the last place I want to be." She teased with a big grin on her face.

"Point Taken." He said with a grin on his face. "I think after dinner, going to head down to the recreation room, and play some pool, do you play?" Alex asked hoping she said yes.

Avril smiled as she thought to herself, sure why not. She had nothing else planned. She was going to go home and read a book. "Love too." She said as she finished her plate. Alex motioned he was ready to go, and she was ready to go. So they left he mess hall as the scene fades.
