Mission: [USS Saigon] Flowers for the Admiral
Location: Rear Admirals Quarters
Timeline: MD001 1530 hrs July 52396

ON:



Yadira was unpacking in her quarters on the Saigon when her computer chirped. Sighing, "Now what?", she said looking at her pet, Sonchi. Opening up the computer, "What can I doooo......oh Admiral so sorry I thought....."


Admiral Sogan was laughing at Yadira, "Yadira you still answer your computer like that?"



"Well Admiral Sogan yes I still do. What can I do for you?", Yadira said knowing full well that it was going to be a pep talk. One she could do without but she was going to hear it anyhow.



Smiling, "Yadira I did not call you to give you a pep talk because you hate them. Starfleet gave you a flying desk because we need you out there in the Gamma Quadrant. This mission with the Florians is highly important and you know how to get things done. As you know Mother Rose is special and her children are going to be granted admission to the Federation. I want you and Cmdr. J'Tagh to make sure that happens. Hopefully your journey to Floria will go unimpeded but should it not......take great care of Mother Rose. Nothing is to happen to her or the others on this mission," Admiral Sogan said with a serious face.



Yadira looked at him in surprise, "You gave......flying desk? Admiral you are serious about this? Then I take it you want me......wait I don't understand."



"Yadira, the Saigon is to be your flagship. Starfleet has given you the honor of Task Force CO," Sogan said smiling warmly.



"So this is what it is all about! Sending me out here and not telling me shit till I get out here wondering why the hell Starfleet sent me out here in the first place. Wonderful!......Just wish you had told me first though," Yadira smiled.



"Well Rear Admiral Yadira Reisen you have your command and your orders. Good luck and God speed Sogan out." amd the screen went blank.



Picking up the small blue PADD she brought from the Starbase she read the orders on it. So this is what was going to happen. No wonder Starfleet stuck me out here, she thought to her self setting the PADD down. Sitting down at her desk she began to think about how she should deal with this new situation.



Yadira had been sitting for all of maybe 20 minutes when the captain made an announcement for all department heads were needed to meet and it included her. Now why her she wondered picking up two brown boxes and carrying them hidden from view, she left her quarters for the meeting.
