Mission: [Joint Mission]Happy ever after
Location: New Haven-T'Meela's quarters
Timeline: MD001 1830 05/01/2396

Kimoni stepped out of the turbolift and walked down the corridor towards T'Meela's quarters. She nodded to the various crew members she passed on the way. She pulled her hair back into a ponytail as she walked. She'd spent the trip back to the station getting up to date on what was about to happen. She thought back to the multiple times in past lives she'd been married.

"Never had to go through all this." She said to herself as she came to T'Meela's door, pressing the chime.

"T'Meela, it's Kimoni."

T'Meela opened the door. "Thank you for coming. I am glad you want to help me with this. Ok, so you I got these quarters. You can stay in the other room. We have five days." She pointed to the couch, please have a seat and I will explain to you what we're going to do. Would you like something to drink or eat?"

"No, thankyou." Kimoni replied, shaking her head as she sat on the couch. "So where do you wish to start, it seems we have a busy few days ahead of us."

Kimoni shifted slightly to find a comfortable spot on the couch and placed her PADD on the small table that sat next to the couch. She smiled slightly, "You know I've been married 6 times now and none of them were are complex as this."

"I have read in to many cultures of weddings. There are certain Alpha quadrant cultures that have some pretty complicated wedding rituals," T'Meela explained. "So, the coming 5 days, the two of us have to do some rituals. We have to get me a dress. I have to do stuff for his surrogate mother. and his surrogate father. And like the day before we have to do things with Kadja. It is...it is the other bride. Crescents are married to several mates in one wedding. They can all have up to 4 mates."

"4 Mates just seems unnecessary." Kimoni added with a playful grin, "Though it does makes Birthdays more interesting. Well just let me know when and where you want to start and we'll get things going, no time like the present, and from the sounds of it we have a lot to do before the big day."

"We start today," T'Meela said. "I have prepared the other bedroom here, which you can take for the time you are here." She smiled as she added. "We will spend a lot of time together."

"Well, it seems you have everything planned." Kimoni said with a smile, " So what's first thing on the list? Please say it isn't make-overs." She added with a chuckle.

"The first item on the list," T'Meela looked on the PaDD that Kadja had given her. "The Crescent Sister tea bonding." She looked a moment on the PaDD and then continued by asking, "Have you ever been married before?"

"Kimoni, no, but Jexen has been married six times over multiple lifetimes. It's an interesting experience." Kimoni replied, "Although none had a Tea bonding ceremony... feels like a missed opportunity ." She added with a smile.

T'Meela smiled as she put a trey with a tea pot and two cups on the table. "I also have sugar and milk." She explained. She sat down on the couch. "Now from what I understand of this ceremony we just drink and talk. Or rather you tell me about married life."

"Married life..." Kimoni started before giving it a little extra thought, "It's generally different for everyone, I don't think any 2 of my married lives were the same. It can be hard work or it can be easy, it all depends on the couple... or group in this case. Communication is important, there isn't much that can destroy a marriage faster then poor communication. Doral, my 4th host was terrible at it. He loved his wife, but he really wasn't the marriage type the poor thing." She added with a chuckle, "Come to think of it, my best marriage was probably Narleen, my 5th host and her husband Yotal. They were married for nearly 40 years before.... well my 6th host came along."

T'Meela had leaned over a bit and was listening to her talking. She nodded to indicate she was listening. "And what about.." She fell silent a bit and then continued, "You know...the night?"

Kimoni smiled, Unsure how to continue. Was she honest, scientific or something in between. "Well i'm sure I don't need to explain the... ins and outs." She said, "Like marriage it's different for everyone, just don't force it and let it come naturally. Be yourself and make your own decisions, don't be too quick to do what you think your meant to do... if you get what I mean."

"I have read a lot about the subject. There is not much information in the Vulcan database, but Earth's and the Federation have a lot on the subject," T'Meela explained. "Orson and I are both from telepathic races. I read up a lot on telepathic intimacy. I wonder if the Crescent go it that way."

"It is entirely possible. Until recently we've not had much contact with the Crescent so out knowledge of them is a little... shaky at best. In truth you may be our greatest knowledge source for now, at least until we can get some envoys in place."

T'Meela poured them another cup. "I tried asking Kadja, but she is not very forthcoming with information. She just said she would marry him for political reasons." She looked to the PaDD again. "You know there is so many rituals on this PaDD for the 5 days before the wedding, there is a short wedding ceremony and then, well what they call the 'wedding night' is preferable choice. I guess even with many partners there is still favoritism."

"With people of his position, marriage is almost always for political reasons, though not always. I guess it must be hard to find someone when your life is so controlled." Kimoni replied, "But remember the most important person is this whole thing is you."

T'Meela nodded. "As Orson tried to remind me a lot of times." She sighed. "There was another reason why I asked you here." She got up and started pacing. "I haven't been able to speak with bers about it. I mean Captain Bers. The symbiont, Bers, he did something to me when I was in control of his host. I may have done something to it as well. I was not sure it could be done that way, but I think we had a mind melt. I think Bers initiated it. Not only have my emotions been released, I also seem to remember things." She rubbed her eyes. "It's like I go memories imprinted on me."

Kimoni nodded, "That's entirely possible. The link between Symbiont and host is a deep thing... something i sadly failed to notice until after i was seperated from Jexen. Before i had trouble seperating what which was which, the symbiont or myself. After i was switched to your mother's body i felt... lost, as if part of me was missing, which in truth it was, i just didn't understand that until it was too late. When i was first joined, I as in Kimoni, I don't think I was ready not really, I didn't understand what the joining would be like. It took being seperated for me to finally understand." Kimoni replied with a hint of sadness in her voice.

T'Meela nodded and said, "That I can understand. But for me it's different. I think Bers inprinted some of his memories on me. I don't feel lost, I feel confused. I even have some of the captain's memories. At least I think they are his memories. Cause I don't remember ever having kissed a girl. My first kiss was with Orson." She grinned when she remembered that and then she looked serious again, "But in all seriousness, at the moment they are just flashes. And some are even new. Could it be possible I am still connected to the symbiont?"

"Given the.... Unusual nature of the link it is entirely possible, that's something you'd have to speak to the guardians about, their the real experts on Symbionts and their link with their hosts." Kimoni replied, "Given your innate Telepathic talents though, it is an interesting possibility."

T'Meela nodded, "I will consult the guardians. But I thought as a Science officer you might be interested. Something like this never happened in the history of the Trill or the Vulcans. It is my understanding, even the Guardians themselves said the Symbionts are mysterious creatures, and they although they have an interesting bond with them, don't know everything about them. I do understand that the bond between the host and Symbiont is established through the connection the symbiont makes with the host body. But don't you think it's also telepathic. Which would make the Symbiont telepathic and the humanoid Trill non telepathic?" Every since the her melt with Bers she has been looking in to this. T'Meela is curious by nature.

"My guess would be that our two speices are linked on some deeper level, while Symboionts can and in the past have, been implanted into non-Trill it's always been an emergency measure and temporary. I must admit, i've never really given it that much thought." Kimoni admitted, "Maybe the Symbiont can imbue telepathic talents, but only to the person it's linking with. Afterall your link with Bers was... shall we say unusual and that's what you picked up on."

Kimoni shook her head, "Sorry I can't be more help on this T'Meela, though I will look into if you like."

"Thank you, Kimoni," T'Meela replied, "Any help is appreciated." She sat down on the couch again She slightly curled her lips to form a smile. It wasn't something she was used to do. "Now maybe you like to help me choose a wedding attire?"

Kimoni gave a small smile, "Now that is something I have some experience with." She said, standing up. "I do hope the holodeck is free, because we're about to take it over."

T'Meela nodded and said, "Holosuite 2 is reserved for the wedding preperations should we need it." She got up and walked to the door.
