Mission: [USS Ottawa] S1, E3: The True Way
Location: Emily's Quarters

Emily stood at the bridge station, focused on her work. It was remedial to say the least. The engineers were completing their diagnostics. And she would be getting the results from this station. She had just completed a little side banter with the second officer who also happened to be the chief engineer.

Part of her wondered what was going through the mind of Gabe. She could only imagine her mentor was bored, and probably screaming inside, to get out of the command chair. She was a little surprised that he agreed to become second officer. Maybe he had a moment of weakness. If he did, he would never admit it.

She was also a little worried about Peyton, he was spending a lot of time with Sam. She wondered what was going on between those two? Were they dating? Were they up to no good? Emily was not, but she knew, she needed to keep an eye on things. She promised her mother that she would look after Peyton.

Emily wondered if she was out of her element, agreeing to take in her kid brother. She was no mother, but all of sudden. She became one. She was not sure what to do, or how to help him. She was still trying to figure out, how to take care of herself.

She was being a little hard on herself, or was she allowing reality to sink in. What in the hell was she thinking. And to make matters worse, Peyton was running off with Samantha. A young teenage girl, that caught his eye.

Emily was sat alone in her shared quarters, with her kid brother. Waiting for him to return from the holodeck. Emily was a little curious, what they were doing in the holodeck? She would have to wait, till he return to ask him.
