Mission: [JM USS Shanghai] S1, E7: The Dragonian Code
Location: Dragonian colony.
Timeline: MD001 1530

T'para couldn't help, but smile, as she walked with her mates hand, held tightly in her own. The celebrations were still going on through the music had lowered to a more gentle tone. With the girls spending some time with their grandfather the two had some time to themselves. The dragonian city was truly beautiful even if it did feel rather empty.

Still, the sand garden outside the temple was something to behold and the two had taken the opportunity to take a seat and just relax. The hybrid laid her head against her bondmate and simply listened to his heartbeat. She was a truly lucky woman.

T'San and Dan had pulled them away from the party as well to take a walk together as well. T'San walked with her arm ins his arm and looked around fascinating. With her usual Vulcan look. Dan just looked down at her smiling. He was quite content.

Then Dan noticed Xalanth and T'Para. "Well, look who we have here? Or were we disturbing a romantic alone moment here?" He asked.

" Just getting a moment alone. After the opening ceremony and the religious idiot, we both need a breather. I apologize for my dancing." The dragonian replied with a grin on his face. " How have you been you two and how are you enjoying the city." He asked not having seen the two in a while.

Dan turned to his wife as to give her a turn to speak. T'San stepped forward. "We have been fine, thank you. No need to apologize to us about your dancing, commander. As you know, us Vulcans are not offended easily. And we have been enjoying the city. It is fascinating."

Dan smiled and said, "She is overjoyed, but you know she would never admit it."

" Thanks to the both of you. It is good to see old friends again. It does look beautiful, doesn't it. Though give it a few years to build up and it will start looking very different. " Xalanth said as he looked around with a grin on his face.

Dan smiled. "I can imagine. We will of course visit them more often now that they are so close. You should extend the invitation to your family to visit the Federation. We would welcome them with open arms. Perhaps a food exchange. Maybe our resident Klingons would like to exchange food ideas."

Xalanth grinned slightly at the thought of that. " I'll pass it on though I'd like to record my father getting into a yelling match with a Klingon over food. We were just about to get some food ourselves would you like to join us?"

Dan chuckled. "I would like to see that myself too. Might be interesting. Though I do understand Commander Kitara is very interested in meeting your father. I believe she said, 'It would be an honor to meet such a great an noble warrior.' I could be wrong, but that's what I heard."

A smile spread over Xalanths face as he stood up and offered a hand to his lover whom he helped up. " I'll pass on the request though I'll have to warn the commander. Special forces are chosen for their ability to come up with unorthodox methods of war. " He said as he lead the way.

Dan grinned. "It's no reason to be ashamed, commander. Even the Klingons, the Federation even, aren't saints. I know my race hasn't always been the calm and emotion suppressing people, as you see before you. In fact, Vulcans have been accused of being arrogant. And that is true for the most part. And that arrogance has cause our people to make mistakes in the past." He got up and pulled his wife up as well. "I was nice meeting you two again. I hope to see you two around the base sometimes. I'll prepare some special meals for you."

" See you later." Replied the lizard as he hugged his mate tighter to him. Life was good.
