Mission:
[ USS Shanghai] S1E8 Light of the past.
Location: Medbay
Timeline: MD001 1800
Xalanth had managed to catch a few hours of sleep before he was back up and working.
Stepping into the medbay his eyes were drawn to his mate who was still having tests run on her. Every part of him wanted to go over and hug her, but right now he had a job to do.
Now he just needed to wait for the major t arrive and then he could question the saved Orion who had regained concusses.
Clicked his tongue against his mouth he let out a sigh. Dropping the captain persona he walked over to his wife who was having a few scans run across her new limbs. " Hey how are you doing? " he asked as he reached down and gently squeezed her hand.
The hybrid looked up at him with the hauntingly beautiful purple eyes. " Well if they can't get rid of these i'm going to need some help picking out a new wardrobe." She said sarcastically as she gripped his hand tightly.
" Have you found anything out lieutenant Jexen?" The lizard asked the science officer who was helping with the tests.
"That 7 lifetimes of past experience doesn't mean you've seen everything." Kimoni replied, "Sorry that wasn't the best thing to say..."
Kimoni shifted uncomfortably and tapped the console at her right hand. A pair of double Helix's appeared on the screen.
"Whatever that... for lack of a better term weapon did, it has changed T'Para's DNA at a microcellular level. Several of her former genetic markers have been reformatted as it were." She shook her head. "I've never seen anything like this outside of theoretical studies."
" I guessed as much. If it hadn't been reformed I couldn't move the new limbs." The hybrid said as she flapped her primary wings slightly.
" Which probably means we won't be able to remove them with the transporter or surgery. My genetic alterations from the dark collective just grow back." the lizard added.
Kimoni shook her head sadly, "No... sections of her Human DNA are damaged, some are missing entirely. No doubt it was the Human DNA that was modified to create the new DNA strands."
Brushing her hair behind her right ear, Kimoni was barely able to stop herself pacing around the room. "If we were to try the transporter, given the damaged done to T'Para's original DNA it's most likely that all we'd accomplish is a mix of the three different DNA strands and that could very well be disastrous."

Charlie walked in to the medbay. She nodded to everyone present. "You wanted to see me, captain," She asked, "Sorry I am a bit late. There was still some things I had to do on the marine deck."
" The Orion we recovered has woken up. As head of secuity, I'd like you there for questioning. Be there to spot anything i may have miss." The lizard replied as he turned his head to look at her.
"Yes, of course, captain," Charlie said. Lead the way, sir!"
The lizard nodded as he walked over to the Orion who was sitting up in one of the biobeds. " Hello there I'm captain Xalanth and this is my chief of security. She was leading the team that saved you." The lizard said as he noted the name on the biobeds computer Lelille.
" Would you mind telling us what you were doing down on the colony." The captain asked
The orion breathed in slightly before she began. " I was a dabo girl sir. "
" And how did you end up in the control center?"
" My boyfriend asked me to visit him. He had a gift for me."
" The necklace? Did he say where he got it?"
The Orion shook her head.
" No, sir. He'd just given it me when we heard those creatures scream. He then told me to stay in the storage locker until he came back. " The lizard nodded as he looked over at his security chief wondering if she had anything to ask.
Charlie was standing there and was listening to the both of them talking. She listened to all the answers as the Captain was asking the questions. "Lelille, where were you before you went to the control center, and did you notice anything strange as you went to the control center?" She wanted to set a timeline to see when all this started. So right now she determined if this Dabo girl could tell if the colonist had already been changed before she went to the control center or not.
" I was at the bar where I work. Everything seemed normal. Everyone was excited the archaeology team had found another vault of artifacts." The orion responded.
"Did they say anything else about this vault? Maybe a location? Or something about the artifacts?" Charlie continued asking.
The orion shook her head. " No. They didn't say anthing like that."
Charlie nodded. "Thank you, Lelille." She then pulled the Dragonian captain to the side. "Captain, sir, do you think she is leaving out something?"
The lizard nodded as he made sure they were out of sight of her. " I think she is. I'll have the medical staff keep an eye on her maybe she'll let something slip. How's the operation against the crescent going?" He asked.
"It's a difficult one, sir," Charlie replied. "I'll tell you that. The Crescent maybe harder to fool than we anticipated. Camouflaging a Crescent shuttle might be easy enough, but fooling the Crescent in thinking we are one of them, is very difficult."
" Well, I'm sure you guys will come up with something. Meanwhile, I'll see if we can find where that freshly found vault is. I bet it's where most of the former colonists are hiding and probably were the one with the orb is." The lizard said calmly.
Charlie nodded, "Be careful, sir, from what T'Para told me, this is not very safe."
The lizard nodded looking over at his mate. " I know, but we do have one advantage. It's going to be night soon and you have someone who can blend with shadows."
"You make an excellent point, sir," The marine said.
" Yeah, sadly that means i'll be going in. I'll need some of your boys for a backup. Hopefully they won't be needed." He said running his hand along his head.
"I will select my best men for you, sir, and women. I have a few good women that could easily cover your back." She chuckled.
" I hope they won't be needed. Still have them report to transporter bay two in four hours and have them wear stealth gear." The captain said.
