Mission:
[Joint Mission]Happy ever after
Location: Haven Colony-Planet flight base
Timeline: MD004 1330
Despite her condition, T'para had a smile on her face as she and T'San materialized near the shuttle port of the colony. She breathed in deeply as she extended her wings to their full length. Ever since her transformation into what resembled a succubus from human mythology her wings and a tail were being a constant problem. Here at least she could stretch them out and not worry about knocking something over.
She was grateful at least she'd mastered dressing herself as the computer had helped come up with a wardrobe to help with her new body. She had chosen a pink and black tank top and shorts for the current goals as she was finally having the chance to see if she could actually fly.
" Looks like we'll have some nice weather." She said turning to the Vulcan doctor.
T'San nodded. "I do also think we will have a weather today. This where you can try and see if you can fly." She held out a data chip and a small device and put it on the ground. "The locals were kind enough to lend us a mobile holo emitter and I took the liberty download all recorded flight of every aviation creature in the galaxy. It might help you to see how you can fly."
" Thanks, I've been looking at a few of them myself. Not many appear to be upright humanoids with two sets of wings." T'para said jokingly with a grin as she let her wings unfold to the furthest they could go. It felt odd moving them though they moved just as easily as her arms and legs. With a flap that threw dust and dirt into the air, she moved her wings as one and the hybrid was flung backwards across the ground. She let out a slight scream of surprise then started laughing as she stood back up. " Well at least we know I can do that." She said with a grin to her friend.
T'San nodded as she looked to her younger friend and colleague. Hear her laugh she gathered she was doing alright. She put the data chip in the Kett mobile holo emitter. She punched in a few buttons as she said, "In my research I thought the following aviation species showed similar wings to yours." A holo projection of a huge bat appeared. "Earth's Vampire bat." She introduced the creature. "It's one of the largest bats on Earth. Found in the African continent." She explained as the bat started to move. "Not quite humanoid and the wing span may not be as big as yours, but the wings do appear similar." She then changed the holo image. A huge dragon appeared on the airfield spreading it's wings. "I am not sure, but this creature appeared in the Earth's database as well as the Dragonian database. This is a Dragonian ancestor. On Earth it is referred to as mythical creature, even legendary. Some Asian lore have described it as creatures that lived on Earth long ago." The holographic dragon majestically flew up a few meters in the air.
T'para nodded as she examined the projections. They weren't much help, but it did give her an idea. " I think the large wings are for the lift whilst the smaller set are for control. Let's try...." She said before her wings beat again. She went backward slightly but as her lower set altered their shape and instead of falling she began to hover slightly of the ground. T'para could help but grin as she let out a "yes."
"That is it, T'Para, you seem to got it." T'San and she continued, "Go ahead, and fly a bit over the region. Have a look around." She knew T'Para wanted to.
T'para nodded as she flapped her wings harder and shot into the sky. It was becoming more natural as she moved through the air as easy as if it had been underwater. She gave a cry of satisfaction and joy as she flew over the doctors head and around the area before doing her best to land. She failed and collapsed in a pile on the ground though she was still laughing as she stood up.
T'San just watched her emotionless, and when she fell she rushed over to her and checked her with a tricorder. It was moot to ask her how she was, as she was laughing. And the Tricorder didn't show anything unusual either. She put the tricorder away. "Right, T'Para, maybe a few more rounds then?"
" Yeah, and I need to work on the landing. " The succubi looking hybrid said standing up as she brushed the dirt off herself. " Everything still working?" She asked eager to get back in the air.
"It appears so," T'San replied. "I also appears you got a unique ability to take on hits when falling from the sky for example." She raised an eyebrow. "You may need to practice a bit more."
