ON:

John had awakened at his usual time of 0600 and immediately wished he could go back to sleep. He had been in the middle of a dream - a very pleasant dream in fact. He had dreamt that he was with Charlie and they were together in a place he had not been in a very long time. They were sitting on the hilltop overlooking the lake on Taran 2. It was a spot he had discovered while living on the planet all that time ago. He would come here when he needed quiet time. He had told Charlie about this place and expressed a hope that one day he could bring her here. Perhaps that was why he had brought her here in his dream.

In his dream they had come here and had spent the evening together. A blanket, some snacks and drinks, and the sunset over the lake. Just the way he hoped to show her in reality some day. They had watched the twin suns of the Taran system go down, revealing the star-filled sky above them. They had snuggled together, talking and kissing occasionally, before falling asleep. And then he had awakened and wished he could go back to sleep and see how the dream would end. But that didn't hsppen so he got up and began to start his day.

He had a full day ahead that included some crew physicals among other things, but he knew that somehow he would find the time to see Charlena. They were scheduled to remain here at the station for s few more days and while it would not be enough time for them to pay a visit to Taran 2, perhaps they could squeeze in a couple of days planet-side. Maybe a visit to the colony on the planet or a couple of days camping out - or both if they were lucky.

He would talk to her about that later. Right now he was due in sickbay.
