[USS Juno] First day on a new assignment

Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E1: So it Begins
Location: ESD Promenade/ESD Guest Offices, Deck 100
Timeline: MD002 0600 hrs

MD 0, 0600 Hours (12/26/2394)

The sounds of a busy starbase filled the reptilian ears of the chief of security as he looked at the window at the ship that would be his home for the next ten years. At his side, the hooded smaller reptile whose head was just above his waist tilted her head slightly as the strange mixture of clicks and hissing that was his younger daughters speech made him look down at her.

" I don't know they are easier to repair over organic starships. " He replied as he and his daughter began moving. A few eyes did glance over at the odd pair their species being a rarity among the stars.

" Are you hungry I could use something to eat?" He asked his daughter as a grin formed on his face. The smaller reptile nodded in reply as they made their way through the small crowd.

Typically Harry would the public place like the promenade, to much shopping, it was not a favorite activity of his. But He was en route to find the perfect gift for his mother. His parents were down on Earth. And he was getting ready to leave for the next ten years, they would be in their late 60's before he saw them again.

Harry was trying to mind his own business when he noticed a lizard like man, walking the mall with a smaller lizard like person. He tried recognized the officer, his facial features were very distinctiveness to Harry.

Harry had just spent Christmas with them and beamed back to the station last night, he was assigned temporary quarters on the station, since the USS Juno was not ready to be boarded. Environmental systems were going through final checks.

"Good morning Lieutenant." Said Harry, seeing he was not the only person doing late minute day after Christmas shopping as well. The promenade was full of personal. Trying to find the best deals, for their energy credits.

" Commander. It's nice to meet you." The dragonian responded as he offered his hand. " This is Travla my youngest." He said as the small lizard pulled her hood further up her head to cover her face. " Sorry about that sir she's very shy."

"Greeting Miss Travla, I am Harry. I am going to be commanding the Juno, you looking forward to coming aboard?" He asked the young dragonian.

The young hybrid nodded politely still keeping her hood up.

"She is Precious, Lieutenant. I will see you both aboard tomorrow, enjoy your shopping experience." Said Harry as he got ready to leave, and continue his shopping.

" Will do sir. Hope you have a nice day." The security chief replied as he and the smaller hybrid headed for the replicators.
