Mission: USS Ottawa General (Side Missions)
Location: Ottawa Messhall

Dinner time, and Pierce headed for the mess hall to see who had newly arrived upon the ship. There had been some new additions, and he wanted to see if he could spot them there. He knew that the Chief of security had just acquired a new member of the team, and then there was the newest medical arrival. As he strode into the mess, he looked around to see if either of them was present.

Varel was approaching the mess hall, he was still carrying his satchel as he had just arrived on the ship, he walked confidently into the mess hall, and immediately went to the replicator. "One hot Cafe latte.", he glanced up as an officer walked into the mess hall, he recognized them as the First Officer, his coffee materialized and he took the tall glass and turned taking to approach the Commander, placing his coffee on an empty table as he passed. "Commander Reagan?", he questioned, "Ensign Renik Varel reporting for duty.", he smiled slightly.

"If you haven't eaten yet grab a bite and I can get a table for us to have a seat. Have you by any chance seen a 1st Lieutenant Walker around?" giving a chuckle. The tall blonde Executive Officer looked around for a table for them to sit at.

*Sitting at the far corner of the mess hall is a tall young man with black and brown hair eating his dinner while reading something from his tablet*

Seeing a somewhat familiar face as in someone he'd seen on the manifest Pierce gestured over towards the table. "Speaking of the one I had, there he is. Let's join him." walking over in that direction, carrying his tea and his food with him.

"Lieutenant Walker, may we join you?" Pierce asked.

Ellais gets up and salutes then replies, "Of course, Sir."

"Have a seat please" Pierce taking a seat after placing his tray of food upon the table. "This is Ensign Varel, and I am Commander Reagan. And I am assuming you are 1st Lieutenant Walker. " Flashing a smile.

Varel nodded slightly and sat down. "Nice to meet you first lieutenant.", he places his coffee on the table and dropped his satchel off his shoulder onto the floor beside the table.

"Yes Sir" Ellais replies as he sat down.

Varel took a sip of coffee and looked at the officers in turn.

"Where are the two of you from?" by way of starting a conversation with the two men. "I am from Rancho del Cielo, otherwise known as Ranch in the Sky. California." Pierce commented.

Varel took another sip of coffee before responding, he placed the coffee down on the table and smiles, "I've lived on the Trill all my life, that has only recently changed when I was accepted into Starfleet Academy. I'm not very well travelled." Varel looked toward Ellais awaiting his response.

"I was born on an Outpost Starbase Bestok in the Arcretus System. I spend the majority of my childhood there before moving to Medara-Rixx for further studies" Ellais replies as he took another bite of his dinner.

"Did you enjoy being there where you studied at? " Pierce giving a smile. "Also have you met the Captain as of yet?"

"Eh.....nothing interesting" Ellais replies". "and yea I had a briefing with Captain."

Giving a nod as to Walker's statement. "This is good, you can actually consider this a meeting witn me as well." giving a grin. "This is a fine ship and hopefully you can meet others of the crew."

A call from Pierce's commbadge, =^= Sir you are needed on the bridge.=^=

"Acknowleged" Pierce getting up from the seat. "If you will excuse me, I'll see you later." then left.
