Mission: [USS Ottawa]Bendy and the Dark Star Trek
Location: Bridge
Timeline: MD002 0100

----Previously on the USS Ottawa----

The ship has been taken over by an entity. An inky cartoon holodeck program has altered the ship completely. After successfully finishing chapter 1, sickbay is now flooded with ink. The lifts can't be used. And the doctor has been spoken to by two entities known as Heidi and Porter. Samantha O'Donnaghue now suspects that the game has been altered significantly and she thinks there is not one but more games mixed in to one. What's more, the game is specifically designed for the crew. It reacts and interacts with the crew in a way Sam has never seen before. The crew will need to play 3 more chapters after this chapter and Samantha is unsure what the game will do next. From the point Heidi and Porter appeared she knew, things will not go the way she remembered.

----Bridge----

"Before we continue," Daniella spoke, "We have some question miss O'Donnaghue, for the safety of this crew and this vessel, what will happen if we touch the ink? Do we turn in to inky monsters too?"

Samantha was in thought as she paced around. "Ok so if the game follows the rules of the original games and programs the entire crew are the protagonists. Which means if they touch the ink, they will not change in to ink monster. The game will operate as if we already are. The explanation to this is, that the protagonists of both Bendy and the Inkmachine and Bendy and the dark revival, respectively Henry and Audrey, were different things. They were specifically designed to be half human and half ink monster. Or rather, an inky human body with a human soul. The ink however does have effect on them. Like hearing voices or walking slower than usual. Also No one dies. There is a constant recycling and rebirth of everything. Because the world inside the inkmachine is a cycle. It needs to start over and over again. Which means in that theory if someone does get any lethal blow inside the game, they will restart at a spawn point or check point. And this is why holo deck safeties are on. Since this is a game operating on set rules, the game can't risk actual deaths. So I assume, just like in the original program the holo objects or creatures, can't kill but if their action could kill you in real life, it would trigger the transport system and transport you to the nearest spawn point you crossed. Spawn points are the stone Bendy statues or the ink wells that Doctor James used to get on the bridge. I suspect they are linked to the transporter systems."

Lt JG James was pacing the bridge. Her interactions with Heidi and Porter were confusing since she had never even heard of this game before. She still wasn't sure what Porter had meant when he said she could now move like him. Heidi had shown her the inkwells that acted as transporters. Janel wasn't sure if what the inky woman had said was true, that they all could use these to get around. It would be a lot of trial and error to find where they all went. Janel did not like games, and this little 'adventure' was certainly enforcing that feeling. "Well, they did say they were like transporters, but that they didn't know where they all went," She said as she heard her name mentioned, "The Ink people said we would have to find our own way."

Ens M'Ralla had found a place to sit on the floor, the ax still in her hand, "Too bad we didn't know about that before we climbed up all those jefferies tubes," She said rubbing her shoulder to keep from getting stiff. "So what you are saying is that this game has morphed into all the games together? Do they each have different antagonists?"

Sam shook her head, "For all the games the characters are basically the same. Porter and Heid are pretty new for the game, theory goes that that they are something different from most of the Npc's in the games. At the moment I do see the workings of the game is the same, solving puzzles, and we still probably have to deal with searchers and Lost ones eventually. But right now we will have to deal with Sammy Lawrence." She sighed. "Since this is apparently a new game based on older iterations of other games I can't predict what will happen next. But I think I can advice on events as thy arrive."

Janel turned to Danielle, "So explain to me then what this Porter meant, since you are familiar with the game and I am not." She placed her hands on her hips as she awaited an explanation, "How exactly was he supposed to be able to move?"

Pierce's head was spinning slightly with all of the thoughts going through his mind. Just the fact he had his office filled with that ink, just blew his mind. "Okay so it is combined games and what will we need to find to shut this thing down?" the XO asked.

Gabe flipped his axe into the air absent mindedly, before catching the handle in mid-air and quickly tossing it towards a cardboard Bendy. He rolled his eyes as the axe passed through it's target's chest, the annoying mocking smile still watching him.

"By Wodan's beard I hate Demons." He said as he walked across the bridge to pick up the axe. He'd Spent months studying the Beings from another universe, all the while being one of their Targets. "Thought we'd dealt with this rubbish, but no..."

He cleared his throat and placed the axe back into his belt, "So as you were saying, we're dealing with a new iteration of the story?" He asked, turning to face Sam.

"Yes," Samantha replied as she looked at her right hand and clearly saw a mark on it. She then went to proceed to answer Janel's question. "Porter was able to traverse large gabs and even reach great heights without having to climb ladders. He gave this ability to the player. And since we are now the players...." She held up her right hand and looked at the main screen. Suddenly she blinked out and reappeared right in front of the view screen. "incredible!" She exclaimed. "I have only ever done this on the holodeck but it always used the teleport system. The entity must have added his own features to the game as well to make it more realistic."

M'Ralla blinked as Sam seemed to instantly vanish from where she was standing and reappear near the view screen. She shook her head, "Like it wasn't realistic enough? Engineering is a total ink blob and we are stuck using axes instead of phasers to defend ourselves."

Janel frowned, "Does it only work if you can see where you want to go? Although I would not want to 'blink' int a place infested with ink thingies ready to pounce on me."

Jasmine wasn't happy with what was happening, all this ink was rather disgusting. She kept things within her own mind though. She needed to concentrate on this. Her hand also brushed the axe that she had at her side.

Samantha looked at her hand again and then showed her hand. "Do you all have this mark on your hand? You should." There was a whirlpool mark on her hand. With that we can use all the abilities from Bendy and the Dark revival. Another ability is that we can melt searchers and lost ones, but only if you can sneak up on them. If they see you coming they will immediately attack you. If you can sneak up on them touch them and it will look you absorb the ink creature. It could be scary at first."

Janel held out her hand, "I... I didn't even notice that," She said as she looked at her own hand and saw the mark. the Crewman Recruit said something about melting and she looked up at her, " what are those? What happens if you can't sneak up on them?"

M'Ralla got to her feet and tucked the ax into her belt, checking her hand and verifying she had the swirl as well, "First you tell us not to touch the ink, now you tell us to touch the ink monsters, what else do we have to look forward too?"

"Ok, from this point on I can only talk about enemies and how they can react, I don't know how our story line looks. But we will find out as we continue. What I do know is that story lines are usually a loop, so to end this story we will have to show the ink demon the end and everything resets, that is how we end this game." Samantha said. "It is our goal to get to chapter 5 and find the end reel. It is the only way to end the game."

She then continued on. "So when I say don't touch the ink, I mean the ink puddles, but it will be unavoidable you might have to traverse through large ink puddles and pools. But don't dwell in them too long. The game play makes it so you hear voices if you stay in them too long. The ink creatures how ever are a different story. Not only do some of them use the puddles and pools to travel, they already are lost to the ink. Now there several enemies you need to watch out for. Searchers are ink creatures with no legs. They crawl around. They don't talk and they make weird noises. Now the Lost ones, do have legs. They look like inky humans. And they can talk, but they only talk among themselves, but when they see they will attack you immediately. At least in later chapters. If I remember correctly and how this chapter started out, this is closely too chapter 2 of Bendy and the ink machine. In this chapter Sammy Lawrence commands the searchers and lost ones. So the lost ones won't attack you. They will appear catatonic and will down right ignore you. Some will talk to themselves, others will just cry in a corner or bonk their heads against the walls. Now you do need to watch out for the Bendy and the dark Revival Lost ones. They are very aggressive and they will attack on sight. Usually they walk around like on guard, so they can be easily spotted. If you hide and sneak around, they won't detect you. But if they do, be ready to fight. You will also need to watch out for the Butcher gang. The piper, the fisherman and the spider. They are weird amalgamations but they aren't very tall. They are very aggressive and chaotic. There is no telling where they pop up. And now the antagonists of the different chapters. For this chapter it appears to be Sammy Lawrence. He looks like a lost one, but he is wearing clothes and shoes. And he also has a Bendy mask on his face. He is a lunatic. Either way if we want to get the ink drained from the lifts we will need to find his sanctuary. That way we can start draining Sickbay and the first officer's office. We should find the pump control switch in the office of the first officer. I think it is ironic that it is there, cause Sammy's recording said it was in his office. But I realized, knowing the position he held within the Joey Drew Studies, it would naturally be in the first officer's office. Sammy Lawrence was the director of the musical Department, and according to the Employee handbook, it was directly under Joey Drew, so it kinda made him the first officer. It's a simple puzzle. I know this is a lot to take in, so I will let this all sink in first, and I will give more information as the need arise. "

Both Pierce and Jasmine checked their hands and sure enough they had the whirlpool marking as well. Pierce spoke up, "So if we come up behind an ink monster we touch them with the hand that has this marking we can get rid of them?"

Samantha nodded. "Yes the marker has the ability to absorb the ink. You can use it on mostly the lost ones and the searchers, I haven't used it on the Butcher Gang, cause it is harder to sneak up on them. They are highly erratic. Also most sentient lost ones, like Sammy Lawrence, probably are more aware of the ability so they will catch on sooner."

"What is the next part we need to do? What clues do we need to look for? Or are we now going to become a little bit of a hunting party as well?" Jade asked looking from one person to the other.

Daniella looked over to Samantha. Samantha looked to everyone. "We have to drain the elevators, that is our main objective, and to do that, we will need to drain sickbay and Commander Reagan's office. The Commander's office, as you may have guessed from the recording from Sammy Lawrence, has the switch to drain the turbo lifts. The elevators in this case. In order to do that we will need to find the sanctuary of Sammy. Which is not his office obviously. We need to solve another puzzle. I suggest an away team will be dispatched to find the key. Maybe operations can scan the interior of the ship to find the location of Sammy's secret code. But also since a new game has been added to the mix, it will be safe to arm ourselves. The axes are a good weapon to fight the ink creatures, but i would also like to point you to the gent pipe from Bendy and the dark survival. The weapon can be upgraded when the required materials are gathered, but I wonder if couldn't just use the replicators to add all the upgrades. That may sounds weird but if this is a version of the game designed for us, I am pretty sure the rules have changed."

"It certainly looks like we're going to have to play catch up on the new perimeters of the game now." Jasmine responded. "We certainly have quite the task ahead of us."

"Seems like we've got some preparation work to do, Captain." Pierce looking at Daniella, he drew in a breath and let it out slowly,it was time to get to work.
