Mission:
[USS Shanghai] S1, E1: So it Begins
Location: New Bajor
Timeline: MD002 0915 hrs
Fire fight was concentrated in the near by village the enemy had been avoiding the capital building. Clora could not figure out what the enemies strategy was? It made no sense to her.
"Dega, take a squad with you, engage those hostile forces try to push them to the obal creek, I want to plant an ambush for them." She said looking at Dega.
"Yes Minister Clora." Said Dega, as he started to gather troops for the objective. Trying to pull the troops away from the civilians, was not going to be an easy task, and he knew that. But he had to try. Dega thought it was a cowardly attack to go after the civilians.

Tera continued to make her way to the embassy with Kerja. She was frightened not for her life, but for her daughters. Kerja was not a soldier, not a résistance fighter, not even an officer. They continued to walk, noticing no other enemy troops. They came up on the government building. No indication of weapons fire, the building appeared to be empty.
Tera decided to heads towards the vacant looking building. As they walked in, they were greeted by a few Bajoran soldiers. Tera explained they were visitors and she took the enemy rifle off a soldier and made her way here for her daughters safety.
They took Tera and Kerja to the command bunker, and to meet with Minster Clora. The minster was still in the middle of coordinating when she noticed two bajorans in the command bunker that did not belong. "Who are you?" Asked Clora, she had never met the two ladies.
"Lieutenant Tera, of Deep Space Nine, I was on vacation with my daughter Kerja, visiting your colony your excellency." Said Tera, as she slightly bowed.
"I prefer Minster, but this is not the time for niceties, can you fight, Lieutenant?" Asked Clora, being very direct with her question to Tera.
"Yes Ma'am." Simply replied Tera.
"Unknown forces are attacking the village, I need every able soldier and officer to fight, New Bajor needs you, can you help my forces retake the village?" Asked Clora.
"I can Minster, I am concerned for daughter, she has no place to go. Can she stay in the bunker with your forces here?" Asked Tera. She had no issues with fighting, she had issues with having her daughter, to much of a liability.
"Consider it a deal." Said Clora, as she reached out to shake her hand.
"Wait, you can't just throw me aside! What if something happens to you? This isn't your fight, we aren't even from here." Kerja's voice was high and worried with a little bit of anger toward her mother.
"We are Bajoran's we do not turn from a fight, if the city falls, the likely hood of us surviving diminishes, your not old enough to fight yet. Stay here Kerja, little ones are going to need you to look after them." Said Tera, not really wanting to debate this.
This was not the time nor the place. The city was under attack and she was a Bajoran, she needed to defend New Bajor. She preferred if Kerja was out of harms way, but this is the safest place for her. She felt bad for putting Kerja in her place. She would make it up to her later.

"Thanks for your help, Lieutenant, its not going to be easy task. We need to push them to the Obal Creek. I believe we can do it, but it's going to take a lot of firepower." Suggested Dega, looking to Tera.
"I prefer to be on vacation with my daughter, but clearly our uninvited guests have other plans for us." Said Tera, not very happy that they came here and started a fight with them. Who were they? Why were they attacking them? All the possible races to attack, why Bajoran's?
"The sooner we drive them off the planet, the sooner we can get back to our normal daily lives." Said Dega, now feeling sorry that he bothered her about her daughter earlier today. Apollogies would have to wait. At the moment an unknown hostile force was attacking.
"Amen to that, May the prophets guide us, in our plan." Suggested Tera. She looked over to Kerja, she could see that her daughter, was scared. She hated to leave, but the only way she was going to be safe, was by removing the enemy forces on New Bajor.
"May the prophets bless our plan." Suggested Dega, as he walked over to Minster Clora. "We are ready to leave, we will drive them to obal creek. Have your plan inmotion by the time we arrive." Suggested Dega.
"May the prophets bless you." Said Clora, watching the units get ready to leave the safety of the bunker.
"Alright, lets drive the enemy away from our homes." Said Dega as he left with a small unit of soliders and Tera.

Dega and his small unit of soldiers made it safely to the outskirts of the village. The troops were inside the village already. His team started to walk into the village, Dega noticed the first enemy soldier and opened fire. An impressive barrage of weapons fired poured between both sides.
The enemy was not really trying to hold their position, but they were trying to push north of the creek. "They are not taking the bait," said Dega as he looked at Tera.
"I'll try to get the attention of the enemy troops, create a diversion." Said Tera as she started to think of ideas.
"Send a small party over there," he pointed out to her with his hand, he wanted to try to flank them towards obal creek. He needed a strong diversion to get them to pull out of the village.
"One diversion coming up," she grinned as she started to yell and run towards the secondary position that
Dega watched helplessly as her team got into flanking position. He did his best to provide cover support, to allow her team to get into position, but the unknown enemy was making it very difficult for them to get into flanking position.
Tera and a couple of bajorans fought hard to get into a flanking position and it appeared they were taking the bait.

Above new Bajor a dark ship was orbiting. It had windows, but the light was scars. On the bridge on the only chair a dark figure was looking at a dim lit screen, that was monitoring the troops down on the planet. The dark figure got up and walked to the screen. A pale white hand touched the screen and the troop commander got on it.
The figure pushed her hood back and looked at the screen. Telepathically she communicated with the commander, “Commander, it is time to end this fight. Use whatever means necessary bring me their leader. Alive!”
"She is hiding in the capital building in the bunker, our scouts believe. We have pulled a good portion of their forces away from the capital, High Chiefton." Called out the Siltar Le, the shock trooper in charge of the ground assault.
She walked to the window on the bridge. It wasn't a big one and it looked down to the planet. Such a bright planet, She thought. She then turned to the commander, who was still waiting. “Bring whomever is still alive. Sephira will be pleased with the new subjects.” She again communicated telepathically.
"It will be done, High Chiefton, by the grace of Sephira." Said Siltar Le. He lead his troops from the village area, tagging a few of the villagers, most of them were deep in hiding but there was a few stragglers. He noticed the military forces of the planet were starting to fall for their trap.
Siltar wanted the forces to pull some of their troops away from the capital building. Quietly he sent the bulk of his forces to the backside of the city, to sneak in, the attack on the village was a diversion and the enemy felt for it.
He pushed his men away from the village, and fled out of the area, at the time he sent a telepathic message to his second to begin the assault. The enemy forces were attacking Siltar's forces that were trying to escape the village he noticed a lady, full of furry and rage, she looked to be the perfect subject for Sephira.
Siltar wanted to take the lady of rage, he double backed and engaged the enemy forces long enough to get close to Tera, he tagged her with a transporter beacon, and beamed her off the battlefield.
Siltar and his forces continued to retreat into the woods, before double backing to the capital. And right on their tale was the unknown enemy leader (Dega).
Dega was upset that Tera was taken. He could tell that the enemy leader targeted her for a reason. He was not sure why, but he was going to track him down, and try to get Tera and the others back to the surface. Dega noticed what Siltar was trying to do and signaled ahead. But it was to late, his forces had already pierced through the capital building.
Meanwhile in the capital building.
Clora and her forces were trying to keep the invading forces at bay, but they were being over whelmed. "Where is Starfleet?" Asked Clora, hoping they would arrive soon. They had not anticipated a sudden. Beyond Starfleet, were the bajoran militia from the north and south colonies?
At the moment her forces were losing and they were trapped, the enemy managed to pierce the building, most of the forces were chasing down the enemy decoy. Siltar and his team were able to capture Clora and a few aids.
"What do you want with us?" Asked Clora.
"Are you their leader?" Asked Siltar.
"I am," said Clora, not sure what he was going to do. He must have known he would not be able to hold this position for long.
"You will all come with me, or die here." He demanded to Clora and the others.
Clora put up her hands, showing she was surrendering. "Praying will not save you," said Siltar, not sure why she was choosing to pray at this very moment.
"We will go with you." Said Clora.
Siltar placed a transporter tag on each of them, and everyone beamed away, before Dega could return to the capital building, the enemy forces kept him occupied and apparently now the battle was over. Dega was now in charge, his own troops that had taken over command reported that the enemy was leaving with their people.
After about twenty minutes, Dega could hear gently crying coming from the closent, near by. The door was locked. Luckily he had a key and noticed several small children huddled around Kerja. "Are you guys alright?" Asked Dega, it was a stupid question to ask, but it needed to be asked. Emotionally they were not alright, but at the moment he was worried about the physical needs. Were any of them hurt.
"I don't think any of them are injured, or just cuts and scrapes if they are." Kerja had been trying to keep them quiet, afraid they would be heard by the enemy. She stood up and started handing him out children. "Where is my mother? Lieutenant Aanyo Tera? She went out to fight."
Dego, started to help the children out one by one. After all the kids were out of the closest. He turned his attention to Kerja, "The enemy took her, she was targeted, we're not sure, why." Said Dega, being totally honest with her. No reason to sugar coat it. Who can you sugar coat this?
Kerja was so startled she couldn't even speak. Her mind went blank, she felt faint and blackness overtook her before a single word left her lips.
"I am going to arrange for Starfleet to pick up and take you back to Deep Space Nine, Starfleet can assist you, on getting you connected with your family. I have no doubt we will track down your mother and those who took her and our other citizens." Said Dega, as the scene ends.
