[USS Juno] Away team

Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E5: Countdown
Location: USS Juno-Freighter
Timeline: 06/01/2394, 1025 Hours

Bervag had just left the Bridge, marching order. He tapped his commbadge. "Would the following personell meet me in transporter room 2. Brink phaser and tricorder." he began.

"Lieutenant Xalanth, Captain Dilucca, Dr T'Para, and On call engineer. Doctor, Bring your kit. Thank you." Bervag said Bervag instructed the lift to take him exactly there. Upon his arrival he armed himself as well. He then waited for his team to assemble.

It didn't take long before the ships lizard security chief arrived dressed in his away armour and armed with his tr100 rifle, customised phaser and other gear. He felt good despite the fear in his gut that always appeared before he went on an away mission. He looked at the door as it opened as his mate stepped through the door already in her medical armour. Without saying a word she walked over and placed a kiss on his face before taking her position.

Feeling much better, and since there was no danger to her health, she gathered her things and went to transporter room 2. She walked into the room noticing T'Para, Xalanth and Commander Bers already there. "Commander, Lieutenants," she nodded to them.

Ensign Rinix entered the transporter room, Engineering kit in his hands. "Sorry if i'm late." He said, flashing a big Denobulan smile, "I changed shifts recently, still getting used to it."

Bervag smiled back. "No worries." He turned to the group. "Alright. For the benefit of the newcomers. We are beaming aboard a freigter we've recently come across. They've been attacked. We're gonna help however we can. Sweet and simple."

" Standard boarding procedures?" Xalanth asked holding up the stun canister that would be the first thing over. " Just remember everyone let me be first into the rooms. I can regrow limbs and you can't. Still, I have no intention of being in sickbay Zarantra is next mouth and I am not missing it."

"Standard." he nodded. "Id like to think no shooting, but ya never know." Bers said. "And Xalanth is absolutely right." he nodded.. 'Anything before we leave?"

Rinix shook his head. He knew he was the fourth wheel here be he took the away team invite as a good thing, at least he could say he'd been on an away team mission.

"Totally agreed Commander, I for one am looking forward to coming back in one piece." He replied.

Bervag couldn't help but chuckle as he stepped on the pad

Xalanth nodded as the team took their positions on the padd. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply as he let himself relax as he began to dematerialise. The moment he felt himself become whole his weapon was up and armed. Two crescent soldiers were on the floor clutching there heads and eyes as the team materialised. Two shots from the lizard's phaser hit clean knocking the two out.

"Hopefully that's all of them." Bervag said and he motioned for them to move out, "Ensign, tricorder out." he said. "Whatever damage this ship may have, I want to know about it." he ordered. "Xalanth, kindly take point?" he smiled.

" Yes sir." the lizard said as he tapped a button causing a small energy shield to appear from his left gauntlet.

And with that the group headed out further into the ship. Bervags head was on a swivel all up until they reached the bridge. Bervag got the door open. "Hello?" he called out. "Is there anyone. We are from the Federation starship Juno?"
He turned to T'Para. "Any life signs?"

The hybrid shook her head as she fidded with her scanner. " High levels of Tachyon radiation are interfering with the scanners. I can't get a clear reading."

Charlena followed close behind T'Para pointed her weapon around. "Well, I think we have to use our own sensors then. Let's see if there are survivors."

"Agreed." Bervag said." Let's split up gang." He said. "I'll be here on the bridge. Try to glean info."

The dragonian nooded. " T'para stay here and help the rest of you with me. Let's see if we can purge this radiation to free up the scanners. " the lizard said as he headed for the engineering bay.

Rinix nodded, his phaser held out in front of him. "Unless the ship has suffered critical damage it shouldn't be too hard to fix the problem. I'll need a bit of time though, it'll take at least 3 minutes for the environmental systems to clear out a ship this size."

Meanwhile on the bridge Bervag was mining data whils talking with the Juno. All the data had, it pertained to pretty mundane stuff. Which Bervag relayed the flowing information. Via commlink with the ship

"Sir. There is something here. A name." he said. "A familiar one."

"Who is missing?" Asked Harry, wondering who the pirates were going after.

"Kerjas, sir." Bervag said.

"Go on Commander." said Harry, hoping she was taken, but it was starting to sound that way. His heart started to sink. He hoped the Commander was going to report she was okay, and that another was taken. But deep down he had a feeling he was not going to say that. Harry listened to him talk about the abduction. And about how the pirates knew how to target the freighter and escape in a hurry.
