Mission: [New Haven] S1, E1: The Emissary's Return
Location: Command Center, CO Ready Room
Timeline: 06/10/2394, 1000 Hours

Bervag Beers, newly minted Captain was still reeling from the news that he was indeed a captain. He didn't really want to leave his ship, but orders were orders.

And those orders took him to a meet one Commodore Martinez. So in preparation, Bervag made sure his uniform was pristine. The analness of a previous host shining through.

Standing in front of the door, he rang the chime.

Domingo was sitting on the sofa, he did not want to sit Captain Bers desk, that just felt strange to him. He heard the intercom to the room. "Come." Domingo said, hoping it was Bervag.

"Commodore Martinez? Captain Bers reporting," he said. "Man that still sounds weird."

"You'll get use to it, Captain. Welcome to your new office, please try it out." Suggested Domingo as he pointed to the captains ready room chair. He knew Bervag, would spend a lot of time here.

Bervag sat in the desk chair, which he found surprisingly comfortable. "It's not a starship, but I guess I'll get used to it." He said. He looked over the desk. "I still don't know if I'm ready. I mean I've been a helmsman. I fly things. Juno, was my first XO spot. And now I have a Starbase?"

"It's a lot to process, I wish I could say this will be a easy assignment. Most stations have a political aspect to it. This station will have a diplomatic council aspect to this station. a few delegates have arrived, all wanting to file their grievances. You will have a diplomatic director assigned to you, former Senator Lieutenant Commander Sarah Gillam." Domingo said, as he looked to Bervag, to see how he was coping with the news.

"Well that should help a lot." Bervag said. "I certainly could use some tips in diplomacy."

"You'll have your hands full with daily operations, I will try to lighten the load with all the politics, with the asistance of Commander Gillman of course. But if you want a few pointers, I'm sure Commander Gillman, would be happy to give you a few tips." Domingo said with a big grin.

Bervag grinned back and nodded.

"I am going to be gone for about two weeks, going to visit the Glosian Empire, they are seeking membership into the Federation. We will see if they are ready." Domingo said, as he looked to Bervag.

Bervag nodded.

The Commodore proceeded to brief the new Captain more
