Mission: [USS Ottawa] S1, E2: Empok Nor
Location: Risa Beach Resort
Timeline: 05/30/2394, 1100 Hours

"I can not believe you talked Captain Martinez to allowing us to beam down to Risa, can not wait to rent a jet back, and explore the main resort." Said Peyton as they started to check into the promenade to rent a jet pack.

"I did not talk him into it, the crew is on shore leave. And I am part of the crew, and I am responsible for your well being. So where I go, you go." She said, as she paid for the boards with energy credits.

She walked over to a shelf and grabbed a back for her and one for him.

Peyton started to inspect the pack. It appeared to be in good shape. He smiled as he said, can not wait. A holodeck can only simulate so much. Can not wait to lift off and explore.

He said. He had no idea that on Risa, they were in the middle of the Lohlunat Festival. There was a big party, going on the resort.

"Where you do want to go first?" Asked Emily? She assumed the top of the Volcano.

"Let's fly over the dance party. And front of the resort, been itching to try out this jet back." He said, a he started to put on the pack.

"Let's start off easy, I know we have simulated this in the holodeck, but the real world is not always like the holodeck. Let's get acquainted with our backs." She said hoping that he would start off nice and slow, give them time to adjust to the pack.

As soon as Peyton put on his pack and secured it, he took off full accelerator.

Emily was a little annoyed, but she secured her pack and accelerated after him. She shook her head, thinking to her self. That foolish kid brother of hers. Always leaping without thinking.

She caught up to him, mainly cause he stopped and was hovering. "I said start off easy." Said Emily in a scolding tone. She was not impressed with his antic like stunt.

"I'm sorry, just got a little excited, lets fly over to the dance party, want to get an aerial view of the resort." Peyton said, as he gradually shifted his body weight and the pack towards the direction of the main resort.

"I have been meaning to ask you, how was your flight over to the Ottawa?" Emily asked. She felt guilty that she had been spending a lot of time in engineering. She brought him to Risa, as a peace offering, a way of saying she was sorry for spending a lot of time in Engineering.

She was learning from the great Gabriel Sharpe. He was the best engineer in the fleet, and one hell of a mentor. She idolized him. She was learning a lot and wanted to learn more, but now she had to take care of her kid brother for a while.

"It was fine, not much to say. Boarded the freighter, chatted with a few of the passengers then boarded the Ottawa." He said, leaving out the of Sam and Carly. He did not want to tell his sister about those two lovely treasures!

"I will make more time for you, I am sorry. I know you came a long away to spend time with me." Emily said, just feeling awful, that she had been distracted.

Peyton just wanted a break from his folks. And having Sam O'Donnaghue on the Ottawa was going to be nice break from his folks and a wonderful distraction. He would preferred Carly, but Sam was cute too. And since they were on the same ship, he knew he had a better chance with her. He knew he needed to answer her concern. "Don't worry about it, were here now, right? Having fun, right?" He asked in a playful tone.

"Yes we are, now try to keep up." She grinned as she accelerated away from him. They chased each other around the resort. For a while, doing flyby's of the resort, the volcano, the promenade, camp site, basically every inch of the resort. Peyton and Emily were having a blast.
