Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E1: So it Begins
Location: ESD & USS Solaris
Timeline: MD001 2200 hrs

MD – 1, 2200 Hours
602 Club, Starfleet Academy

With a bear like chuckle growl, Harry laughed, while saying. Making sure to hold up his “I never knew you cared, Yoger!”
“Yes sir, not going to be the same without you, sir. Just think, tomorrow we are both going to be commanding starships, I get the USS Solaris, and you get the USS Juno.” He said, half drunk.

“Two days for me, my friend” he said.

“Where is the Solaris heading off too?” Asked Harry. The two men were drinking it up at the 602 club at Starfleet Academy. He only knew he friend, who could not hold his liquor as good as he could was getting ready to depart Earth Spacedock.

“Third fleet protecting Vulcan.” He said. The Solaris was a nice enough of ship, but deep down he was jealous that Harry got to command a vesta class starship, and got the ten year exploration assignment.

The entire class knew, he was top of his class, and this was a dream position for him and for several others. Yoger, reached over and gave a bear hug to Harry.

“What’s that for.” Asked Harry, confused by the sudden display of affection that his El-Aurian friend was given off?

“I’ll say it again, I am going to miss you. Tomorrow were going out to shape the galaxy, but tonight were going to party it up.” He suggested, ordering another round of shots at his graduating class table in the 602 club.

Yoger tapped on his shot glass to make a toast. “Here is to the last graduating class of 2394, let’s make the universe never forget the day we all became starship captains.” He said, raising his glass high, and then tapping it against other glasses in a sign of respect.

“Here, here.” Was all that Harry could think of saying to that toast. It was straight to the point. And he liked that. He wondered if Yoger was going to be okay, maybe he had too much to drink, but the man was really emotional tonight.

“You okay man?” He asked, as he slammed down the shot with Yoger and the other classmates of 2394, command Academy. The atmosphere was pretty wild, and everyone was having a good time.

“I’m great, just a little drunk. I think?” He half asked, and laughing a lot.

“I can see that, Yoger. Perhaps you should slow down a little?” Asked Harry. He did not want his friend to become too drunk. The scene starts to fade.

“Perhaps your right.” He chuckled as he slammed down the drink, as quickly as he could. He was having a great time and he wanted this feeling to last as long as it could. But he knew he should probably cut back a little and play it safe.

After all he did not want to puke in front of all his class mates. The scene ends.
