[USS Juno] What did you do, Ray?

Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E1: So it Begins
Location: USS Defensia
Timeline: MD002 1400 hrs

Bervag, along with three of his buddies were standing on a rubble strewn rooftop. They had a running thing going where they act out a movie of random choosing. Today it was one of Bervags favorites. A recreation of the old Earth movie "Ghostbusters". An Andorian playing Egon was clearly enjoying himself. A caitian playing Venkman was hamming it up. Should I do "Stripes next? Or Spies like us? he thought. He perked up because his part was up next.

A chorus of "I didn't choose anything" game up. Bervag did his bit, "It just popped in there."

"What just popped in there?" Kitty-Venkman said. Bervag was just about to respond when the comm system came to life. The bridge was trying to call, low priority though. They ignored it, the fight with the Stay Puft Man looming. It had gotten tho "cross the streams" when hit chirped again. The group sighed. "Computer, pause program." they collectively said, exhaspertation clear in their voice.

"Sirs, this is the bridge calling." the voice came. Junior officer by the sound of her voice

The friends looked at each other, their expressions saying it all. "We know that!" their looks said. The Caitian spoke up. "Yes?"
"Sir. Lieutenant Bers is to report to the ready room."

"I'll be right there." Bervag spoke. "Holodeck out."

He looked around at the group. They collectively shrugged their shoulders.

"What did you do, Ray?" the Caitian said, instigating laughter.

"Oh, Shut up!" Bervag laughed as they exited the holodeck. They went their separate ways, the gang going for lunch Bervag to his quarters.

A change of uniform later and he arrived on the bridge.He made a beeline towards the ready room.

The Captain was a little pressed for time as they were about to get ready to pull in to spacedock. Long story short, Bervag came out with a promotion, and a new job.
