Mission: [USS Shanghai] S1, E1: So it Begins
Location: T'San's Quarters
Timeline: MD001 1200 hrs

Dan just picked up his daughter from the tansporter room and they arrived at their asigned quarters before boarding. T'Meela hadn't seen her parents in ages as she was raised by her grandparents. Her father was very excited to see her again. She just said, that she was also glad to see him. Her father was very more human then she was, and apparently seem to control it much better then she did. She went trough a difficult time with her grandmother, and allthough she was showing her Vulcan emotional control, on the inside she was just popping with some human puberty.

Father and daughter walked in and T'San got up and walked to her daughter. "It's good to see you again."

T'Meela looked around the quarters and then to her mother again. "Thank you, mother, it is also good to see you again."
She put her bags on the couch in the livingroom.

T'San took her hand. "Come, I prepared your room." T'Meela could hear in her mother's voice how she was trying to make her feel comfortable. They walked in to the room. It was nice and comfortable.

T'Meela sat down on the bed. "Mother? Why are you doing this? Why am I here? My life was good the way it was on Vulcan. Grandmother T'Lar is an able caregiver and also she is has been training me in the ways of the Vulcans. And if she for some reason couldn't do that, my uncle, your brother, Tofuk, and even the family of my brother Sotaak have offered to take me in."

"I wanted you here because I am your mother, I should be taking care of you. And also it pleases your father. He wants us to be a normal family," replied T'San.

"A normal human family."

"What do you mean?" Asked her mother.

"It is perfectly fine for a Vulcan to live with someone other then their birthparents." Replied T'Meela.

"Who told you that?"Asked T'San.

"Your sister, T'Mar." The tone was very fueled with emotions, T'San could sense that.

"T'Meela, if your intent is to lit up my serviced emotions, you are in no luck. Perhaps I should leave you to meditate here in your room. Please come talk to me when you have calmed down."T'San turned around and left the room. The door closed behind her and she stood outside waiting a few seconds.

Dan was still outside in the livingroom and turned around and looked to his wife.

At that moment they both could hear T'Meela bursting out. She was screaming and it sounded like she was taking out her anger on her pillow or even her bed.

"Should I talk to her?" Asked Dan.

T'San shook her head. "No, my mother said she has these moments. She just needs a bit of time to come back to her senses. It is difficult for her. Not only is she my daughter, but she is also yours, a part of human is still in her. And the fact that she has a mother that can feel emotions the way I do, isn't helping."

She sat down. "Not to mention her age, I can only imagine what you or your parents were like at that age."

"But not you," said Dan, your mother told me you have always been the child that was so balanced out.

T'San leaned back and smiled a bit. Their cat Tibbles jumped on the couch with them.

"This is why I love you," Said Dan as he grinned, "You are capable of feeling emotions the way humans do, yet be tempered and controlled like Vulcans."

"Do I?"T'San didn't show any sign of effection on her face as she petted the cat.

-Scene end-
