Mission:
USS Ottawa General (Side Missions)
Location: Am'thyst Colony
It was several hours since the call for help had been accepted. Pierce sat in the command seat once more, just watching as they neared their destination. "Slow to impulse." Pierce called out. "Any signs of possible enemy ships?"
It didn't seem that way.
A crackle of static then there was a hail.
"Sir we are getting communication." coming from the communication officer.
"Open communications." and the view screen came to life. A woman with black hair and her skin coloration decidedly pink in color probably from too much sun answered. "This is Captain Aberdeen, how may I help you?"
"We received a distress call from this location." Pierce began,
"Oh yes, well you can disregard that call. There is nothing wrong. And just who did you get that call from if I may ask?" the woman giving Pierce a sharp glance.
Pierce raised an eyebrow at that question there seemed to be something wrong here. "Sorry to have disturbed you, Captain Aberdeen." Pierce responded then made a motion for communication to be cut. He made a call for a briefing.
==========================
M'Ralla was busy getting all the various supplies together to deal with whichever type of mishap they found. Just as she thought she was finished she received a summons to report to another briefing. "I Guess they now know which of these set-ups they'll be using," she said as she handed the PADD with the checklist over to crewman, "Make sure everything is ready to go in 5 minutes." She then turned and headed to yet another briefing and hopefully get some answers.
When M'Ralla arrived Pierce gave a brief smile. "Ah good sorry for yet another briefing. We've come across some more information as to the situation we are going into. Once the others arrive I'll continue. This is an urgent meeting though."
M'Ralla nodded and took a seat, "do we at least know if we need shipboard or surface supplies yet, because that would really help with getting the teams into position."
Gabriel stepped into the shuttle bay, hands slowly combing through his beard as he read from the PADD in his hand.
"How goes the pre-flights M'Ralla?" He asked tucking the PADD away in the kitbag at his hip.
M'Ralla looked up as Gabriel entered, "I have two separate shipments prepped and ready for deployment depending on the actual type of response, shipboard or ground. And teams to accompany those shipments." She let out a frustrated sigh, "I do have to sort of know which it will be as many of the assigned personnel would need to be geared up accordingly. I will, unless ordered otherwise, accompany them myself to oversee repairs that are required."
"Ah Commander Pierce, here to see us off?"
"Or I can come with?" Pierce giving a smile. "I would like to get a look see on this particular situation." the XO mused, "Lets get things loaded and I will be coming with you. It does look like we've got the supplies ready to go. "

Pierce was at the front of the shuttle, watching as they were nearing the system where the distress call had come from. "I don't see any signs of any ships coming to greet us. I am wondering if the first person who contacted us Eliza Hermann will try once again."
Once he spoke those words, a signal arrived, and the message is brought up. "Hello this is Eliza Hermann, is anyone out there?"
"Eliza, this is Commander Reagan, we spoke earlier, we are on our way to the coordinates you had given us. I have a question though, do you know a Captain Aberdeen?"
"Oh I am glad you have come. Captain Aberdeen? Yes I do know her, beware of her, she is trying to find me. If you are ready, I will send you the next coordinates." Eliza responded.
"I will speak to you shortly, we need to do some preparation." Pierce responded.
He then turned to regard those that were with him. "Okay, ideas, your thoughts on this situation?"
M'Ralla lifted her eyebrows and shook her head, "I have conflicting thoughts, on one hand we have a distress call from an unknow quantity, namely one Eliza Herman. On the other hand we have what appears to be an official representative of the planet's gevernance, Captain Aberdeen. Eliza asks for our help and warns us of the Captain, while the Cpatain denies there was even a call for help." She paused to collect her toughts for a moment, "At this point, Sir, I would suggest caution when dealing with either party. If this is an internal dispute, we could find ourselves in a precarious situation."
"This is true, and I agree. However, lets see if Eliza gets back into contact with us." Pierce replied.
Just as he said that, there is another call, and this time it was from Eliza. "I am sorry to have disturbed you for asking for supplies. At this time, I feel that you may need to get out of this area. As this is turning into a feud between factions. Thank you for answering, and hopefully some day we will be able to contact you once more." then the communications is closed off.
Pierce could only shake his head. "Well then, looks like we'll have to get back to our other duties" he remarked to those with him. "It is a sad state of affairs when people can not seem to get along. I do hope that we are contacted again at a later time."
He looked at the supplies gathered, "Thank you, for the help, guess we are now going to have to put this away. Lets get to work."
To say that M'Ralla was displeased would have been an understatement. She and her team had busted their asses getting the various equipment ready in such a short time. And now... to be told that none of it was needed made her want to go planetside and kick some sense into those people. She plastered a look of non-emotion on her face as she nodded to Pierce, "yes, Sir. We'll have this equipment back into storage as quickly as possible. " She sighed lightly, "Let us just hope that the next time someone calls it does not end up the same way." She turned and called for a crew to assist in returning the supplies from whence they came.
With a nod and a sigh, Pierce looked apologetically towards M'Ralla. "I do hope this won't happen again." With that he left the shuttle bay area going to make a report as to what happened.
