Mission:
[USS Ottawa] S1, E1: Abducted
Location: Bridge
Timeline: MD + 1, 14:10 Hrs
Dom walked onto the bridge with Ellie, David and Jazin. They walked over to the helmsman station. "Helm plot a course for Cestus III. Maximum Warp." Ordered Dom.
"Aye Captain." Called out the helmsman.
Slowly the USS Ottawa left Beta Antares Fleet Yards and made way for Cestus III.
Dom looked to Ellie and Jazin, "You two have a colonel to rescue, here is a copy of all the intelligence we have on Cestus III. I suggest you prepare." Said Dom, wanting to rescue the colonel as soon as possible. Ellie took the data pad from David.
"Yes, captain," Replied Ellie.
"Of course, sir." Jazin nodded from tactical.
"You have your orders, I suggest you prepare, we will be in range of Cestus III in a few hours." Said Dom. He looked around the room. He hoped his bridge crew was ready to go. Some were new and the rest suffered from a form of PTSD.
Dom went to sit down in his command chair. He looked around at the inexperienced crew. Hoping they were ready. Time will tell, he debated on running a drill, but given the fact his first officer and second officer were both prepping for a daring rescue, he decided against it.
Dom sat in his chair, thinking about the stress and the torment that Ellie must be going through, he also wondered why she wanted to put herself through that torment. He understood the need to rescue family at all cost. But she was suffering from PTSD, she was barely authorized to serve in the uniform, and now he was sending her on a dangerous away mission.
Dom was also suffering in a way, he helped Sarah, expose the traitor in the Federation Senate. It turned out to be her husband, he destroyed a marriage, and to make matters worse. He was in love with her. Still after all of these years, apart he felt strong feelings for her.
And Sarah felt something too, but her life was crumbling all around her, she left the senate to serve in Starfleet, and asked to serve under him, which did not make this any easier on him. Dom wanted to reach out to her, but a captain keeps his professional distance from the crew. He struggled to keep his distance, but he was trying his best.
Dom tapped on his communicator. "Mister Sharp, I hope the engines are ready to be pushed, we have set course for Cestus III." Dom said, knowing darn well that Gabe already knew they had left, the engines were fired up and the ship was now in motion.
"I've pulled out all the stops Cap, we'll be there as soon as possible." Gabe replied, his fingers dashing across the console he was working on.
"Engines are running well within safety limits, so that shouldn't be an issue, well my safety limits anyway. Problem with ship designers is there never factor in real world conditions, but don't worry i have everything under control down here." He added.
"Very good Gabe, buckle up down there, were going to hit full throttle." He suggested as he walked over to the helmsman station.
Gabe chuckled slightly, "Pretty sure that's my line. All's good down here, ready when ya are." He replied.
"Helm engage maximum warp," ordered Dom, as he felt the ship jump to warp. The helmsman must have been a little finger happy with the console. The USS Ottawa jolted to maximum warp.

[Scene between Jazin and Ellie]
Jazin looked over at Ellis as he prepped his rifle for action. He couldn't help but wonder about what she was thinking. He started over when a security PO needed help with his rig. He attended to that.
Ellie was also prepped her rifle. She was wondering what her brother could have done to get this Gorn angry for him to be captured and what this Gorn had done to actually catch her brother. He wasn't exactly the easiest person to catch. So he must've have some how messed up to get in to trouble in the first place. She turned over to look at Jazin. He ws helping a security PO. She walked over to him.
"Colonel." he said, not wanting to get familiar in front of his SO. He checked his gear, to see whether it was secure or not. He looked at her and whispered. "We'll get him back."
Ellie put her hand on his shoulder. "I meant what I said in the briefing room. If my brother is compromised, I will shoot him myself. He is my brother and we're marines. We made a promise to each other long ago. I will have a hard time afterwards, but I am trained for this." She closed her eyes a second. "I may have looked cold when I had to send my crew in to a situation that was unknown to us. You were cautious, and rightly so. But I know that you knew as well as I did, it was unavoidable. We would have been pulled in eventually. I am happy that you're still here." She turned around. "Alright, let's get to work. I want my brother here alive so I can beat his ass myself." She grinned.

A few hours later.
As the USS Ottawa continued her course for Cestus III, Dom was going over sensors reports, at his chair on the bridge. He was being a little anti-social. The crew understood why, they had a big mission and the chief of security and first officer were not even on the bridge.
Dom felt like he needed to keep his mind distracted on the mission. He did not want to face Sarah at the moment. He was trying to give her time and space to heal, he knew when she was ready, she would approach him. But he was not sure how to address that, when it came time. He was now her captain. Not just her friend.
"Captain we are arrived at Cestus III." Called out the Helmsman.
"Helm bring us in stationary orbit." Ordered Dom.
"Aye Captain." Said the Helmsman.
Dom tapped on his combadge. "Bridge to Colonel Sheppard, we have arrived at Cestus III, you have a go." Called out Dom, wondering what was going through the mind of Ellie.
"Yes, sir!" Replied Ellie. She turned over to the team. "Let's go!" She had no time to waste. She was emotional not all that stable, but right now it seemed as if the last 9 years seem far away.
"Good luck Colonel, see you on the flipside." Said Dom, as he closed the channel with Ellie. He sat deep in his chair, hoping he made the right call to allow Ellie to lead the mission.

Gabe steped out of the turbolift and onto the bridge. He activated the engineering Bridge console and quickly transferred sensor readouts and transporter control to his console. He ran though the sensor readout of the away team's beam in point and the area directly around it.
"Everything looks good so far. We're not picking up anything out of the ordinary, though i have ta admit that bothers me slightly. I'll keep an eye out." He said, adjusting his waistcoat.
"Very well Gabe, your doing a fine job keeping my engines happy." He suggested with a big grin on his face. Dom knew how protective Gabe was over his engineering bay. But this was Dom's ship, and he was having a little fun with Gabe. To distract him and the crew from the importance of this mission, to get them to calm down. Everyone was a little intense. They needed positive vibes.
